Woo! cousins!

Thank you guys for the updates =] Mom has probably just said what she has been seeing without looking to much into the good side... Everybody's praying for gpa =]

So tonight my dad got inductted into the Basketball Hall of Fame for Clearwater High School. i'm so proud to have him as a dad. Our family was a little peeved though because we found out that after telling everybody that he was next, they took back saying that to induct some guy named bryan johnson who nobody even knows (apparently he was an ex player that hasnt returned since he graduated, 30 some odd years ago, but is starting some basketball camp and wanted the political attention) So when the board of whatever voted for this guys EVERYBODY was mad and teachers and other faculty went up to the board members and told them this and that about my dad, so this year they had two people into the hall of fame. My dad was announced first and an amazing speech was read about him and the ENTIRE gymnasium stood up, applauded, and screamed and he made a cute speech, and then the announcer announced his family (us lol) and then it was the other guys turn only the people on the opposing teams side stoop up, and a rare few clapped for this guy, compared to the acknowledgement my dad got it sounded like a cricket for this guy. And there were reporters there that took pics of my dad non stop and like two of this guys (they even took pics of dad with the fam) it was a good night, everybody is very proud of him =]

good morning all!

well here i am, my usual morning, some coffee, tv and cooper! i wrote earlier but my computer messed up before i sent it so i am going to try to rewrite everything! arrrgh! stupid computer!

grandpa news: on friday when grandma and i got there uncle joe and aunt maryellen were there, he was eating lunch and doing well! when they left uncle tom and aunt verna came in. (he loves having visitors!) later, when he went down to therapy grandma and i went with him. he did very well! he got up, (with help, he still cant stand up by himself) and walked three different times about 15 steps each time! which is wonderful! on saturday he had to go to the er only for the blood transfusion. he was there all day but only because thats how long it takes... uncle bobby stayed with grandpa until he got back to the rehab center. on sunday susan and i took grandma out to lunch! we then went to visit grandpa, he had alot of visitors! but he had mentioned that his left knee hurt. yesterday when i went to see him after work he was saying that he wasnt going to go to rehab that afternoon (he normally goes twice a day for an hour each time.) because of his knee. there is a doctor that comes in on wed, so if it still bothers him tomorrow im sure he will say something. :) aunt lori came to visit yesterday! grandpas doing good tho, still plays solitare all the time and jokes with everyone! olivia- (or anyone else) if you ever want to know how grandpa is doing, im there pretty much everyday. you can call or text me anytime and i will let you know how everyone is doing! ... olivia sorry you were upset on saturday! dont worry tho, grandpa is ok!

otherwise with me, nothing new is going on, both jobs are still kinda slow, but its still january, so what can you do... susan is in watertown on an audit this week. she left yesterday and will be back saturday. which i think she would prefer doing, rather than be in the office. she still cant walk that well, and her foot still swells up to 2x's the size, everyday! but she has a docs appt next thursday, so we will see what he says!

thats about it for me tho! i hope we keep up on blogging everyone!

Hello!!

Hi all!! How is everyone doing?? It's been a long time since I posted on my own; while I was on the couch and off of work (def miss those days!), Sarah normally posted for both of us! Well, now I am on my own, literally actually, cuz I am posting from Watertown. It is not too bad here, except for the snow. I think they get more snow here than in Buffalo, probably cuz it's more north but still gets the lake effect because it is next to Lake Ontario. I don't mind it as much I thought I would though, I definitely think I will catch up on my sleep while I am here. I don't have to get to the dealership until 9, so I don't have to wake up until 8!! Last night I went to bed at 9:30!! haha

Bern -- Congratulations!!! That is awesome that you passed, what a relief right? Will they give you a promotion at work for it??

Jenn, Tricia -- Well, I thought I would be able to find a way to meet up with you guys while I am here (since it is only 3 hours from you), but looking at the weather, it is supposed to snow every day. I get bad anxiety driving in the snow, so I really don't think I will be able to make the trip. Tomorrow 5-8 inches are supposed to drop just in the afternoon! But after tax season, I am definitely going to plan a trip down there!

Olivia -- I am very jealous that Mark got to visit you guys, I have never been to your house before!! Well, even if every one down there can't make it in the summer, hopefully you will find a way to come visit!

Sarah -- I miss you!!! This is the longest I haven't seen you in almost 2 months!! haha Hope you are making tons at Kyoto!! Oh wait i shouldn't say that, I jinx you every time I do....sorry!!

Well, my ankle is not doing as well as I would like. I would expect it to be improving, but unfortunately, its status does not change much day to day! I am hoping that when I see my surgeon next week, he doesn't think I am a slacker for not being about to walk. I also hope he will figure out why it swells up like a balloon every day!! Maybe after next week it will start doing better!

Well, I brought some work to get done while I am here (since we don't have like any work to do dealing with the dealership we are at), so I better get started on it. Talk to everyone soon.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to tell you that I got my results back last night from my EPPP (examination for professional practice of psychology) and I passed! So this means I am now licensed in the state of NY as a psychologist. Who-hoo!

PS- Olivia- I saw gpa sunday and he looked great- good color, happy mood, eating well, talkative... his usual self! The day before he had to have a transfusion because he was not doing so good... but that seemed to help a lot!

Coming home next weekend hopefully...

Olivia, from what i was told, things are okay. Sunday he did really well and everyone was visiting. On Saturday, he had another blood transfusion, but all went fine. Next Sunday, (Superbowl Sunday,) he possibly will come home. I was even told that Grandma has a countdown up for him to see so he works really hard to get his strength up. ~jenn

Just want an update, i called my mom cause she's up there but she started crying...

I heard that he was rushed to the emergencvcy room and isnt doing to good, just want an update

Thanks for voting for me, i started off in like 6000th place lol now im at 700ish so its going good so far, i vote every 8 hours which is the limit on an individual computer, but in school i go to the library and loggin to thirty different computers and vote from each one!!

I watched the inauguration! it was good, nice speech, some people were surprised that he put his hand on the bible, otheres were relieved.

Santa Fe CC is in gainesville, its really close to UF, its where a lot of kids that dont get into UF go to. Its one of three colleges in the US that has a zoo!! And i hear back from UF February 13th!!!!!!!
I hope i get in!

Well, it feels like Mark was down here for a day but it was a lot of fun having him here with us, the hockey game was sooo much funnn, it was awesome, Let's go Buffalo!!! lol

My mom is flying up there this weekend so some of you will be able to see her, she's really cant wait to go. I hope to come up there sometime, i told the non bloggers about the possibility of a picnic in June and they just dont know right now if that would be possible for us to get there, financially, but wishing is still here!

Hello cousins!

It is nice to see so many posts since the last time I was here.

Olivia--I voted for you!!! Twice actually, once on two different days.

Jenn/Bernadette--I watched the inauguration and I thought it was great. I loved his speech and I loved Michele's dresses as well as Aretha's hat. :-)

Susan--how is your ankle? Is it getting better?

Sarah--I thought of you the other day when I was shopping in Kohl's. I got two great sweaters that were $60 each and I paid $12 for each of them. Can't beat that!!!

I'm trying to think of what is new here. Last weekend we went to Pittsburgh for a family law conference and to visit. We had a great time. I wish I could move back there, it is truly a great city. Other than that, I have been working a lot. I am in court anywhere from 1 to 3 days a week, I have 5 online classes and one class at the college and another one starting in February that I have to prepare the syllabus for.
Yesterday my friend and I went to see Bride Wars. It was so good. Has anyone seen it yet?

That's about it, I think. I need to go vacuum up all the dog hair. Bye for now!

Bernadette: I did see that during the inauguration!! The 2 girls realized they were on national t.v. and started going nuts!! Wasn't it funny!! During the National Anthem of all things! I laughed at that, too.

Hello Cousins! Long time, no blog!

Good morning everyone! Wow, it's been a long time that I've blogged! Sorry about that. Hoping everyone can take a little time to check in soon. I planned on getting here last night, but we had some unexpected family still here at 7:00 and by the time things settled down, I was ready to collapse! We're having some work done in our basement (finally!) by Mike's brother, and he was here getting some of the lowdown on the whole thing. Mike's dad was here, too, since he helped the whole weekend taking supplies downstairs. This weekend was out of the norm, so the girls were pretty pumped up. There's no school today, either so that made things exciting, too. We love extended weekends!!!
Well, I know Mark is in Florida and Tricia was in Pittsburgh this weekend, what did everyone else do? Don't they all go by wayyyy too fast?!
Susan: How's your ankle? I hope the swelling is down and you're more comfortable without your cast. How's Jeff?
Sarah: I'm betting you worked this weekend. Were there lots of people out Sunday while the football games were on?
Olivia: While I was catching up reading, I laughed how you said you were blogging all by yourself. Keep it up! We all used to get on so much more when we started. It's nice to see someone letting us know what's going on. During the holidays, I totally slacked off, but hope to get on here much more now.
Bernadette: How's the bronchitis? Feeling better? Let us know how you did on your test. I hope all goes well.
Kristy & Amber: Hey girls, hope y'all can visit the blog and fill us in on how things are!! Kristy, still training for NYC or will you stay with local races? I will be there if you do NYC, when is it this year? I stayed in a great Marriot if you're looking for places to stay if u go.
Mark: It not only was cold here all weekend, but we had the heat way down for a lot of Sunday afternoon since supplies were being brought in the back door for our basement. The girls were watching t.v. and playing games with sweatshirts and blankets on while I thought of you vacationing in sunny Florida, probably sweating your ass off on the beach! Hope you're having fun! Thanks for the text!
Tricia: How was the weekend? Were they classes you attended or meetings? I know you told me, but I can't remember. When Mike asked why you went, I couldn't remember.

One of the things keeping me busy lately is the planning of my high school reunion. A small group of us have been making plans and I did a lot of phone calling in the past month or so trying to work on a budget. We're hoping things happen sometime next Thanksgiving. We had a class of 243 kids!
So, how about our family reunion? I think we should definitely plan one. I didn't mind having it in June last year. It wasn't too hot yet and everyone seemed to make it. What does everyone think?
Anyone watch the Pittsburgh/Baltimore football game last night? (Tricia, I know Dave did!) Two players collided toward the end of the game and the player from Baltimore seemed really hurt. He could move his arms and legs, but he had severe neck pain. I was thinking about him this morning and am going to check on if he's okay. It was quite a collision.
Well, I'm off to to have breakfast round 1 with Mia. She's in her room doing pretend homework. Gianna will sleep at least another hour. Then, we'll have breakfast round 2!

College college college. So far i have 75 percent tuition from a scholarship thats only for florida schools so if i hear badly from UF which im hoping that i get in Im gonna go to Santa Fe community college

back on the couch...

well at least for the night! here we are, susan and myself, i have my coffee! but no cooper. its been a long day for the both of us. susans foot didnt hold up too well on her first day back. her foot and ankle swelled up really bad by 10am. so shes gonna have to call the doctor tomorrow and make sure that her ankle is ok. also she starts therapy on monday. but her foot is so swollen by the end of the day that she wont be able to get her foot in a sneaker for therapy.. so we will just have to wait and see what happens. other than that susan has been laying on the couch for the last month and a half, her dream life! so thats it for sue...

well this morning i had an appointment with the priest at the school where my parents work. i needed a letter to be kaylee's godmother and since i dont go to church i needed to talk with him to get the letter, which thankfully i got! so that was exciting! then i went and hung out with ron for a couple of hours before he went to work.

once i left rons, i went to visit grandpa and grandma at the hospital. on friday when grandpa got to the hospital he was diagnosed with having pneumonia. he was weak from that and that is why he fell on thursday, twice. at therapy today, both grandpa and grandma realized that he was not strong enough to be able to go home. he is not able to walk to the point in which he was walking before. so they made a decision to have him go to rehab to get his strength up so he will be able to at least walk from room to room. they are not sure which rehab facility yet, but the social worker was going to talk to grandma about it tomorrow. hopefully they will have a rehab facility to take him to tomorrow. he also was given a blood transfusion today, which will hopefully make him stronger as well. i took grandma home today, and when we arrived there was a package waiting there for her from jenn. she was very excited about that, she enjoyed the pictures from the girls and said she would bring those and a get well card that grandpa received from uncle joe and aunt mary ellen to the hospital tomorrow. grandpa will be very happy to have gotten a get well card, he had asked grandma the other day if he had received any get well cards. calling all cousins! - if you have any time, maybe you could send him a get well card to the house, grandma will make sure he gets it. it will be very appreciated, and his spirit will be lifted.

both of my jobs are slower right now, all the part-timers were cut down to just friday and staurday at kyoto. and im getting about 20 hrs at kohls and trying to pick up extra shifts that people are giving up. thats about it for me!

uncle david had asked me about 2 weeks ago to blog his new number for all of u. i am sorry but i forgot, and by the time i remembered i lost the paper with the number. when visiting grandpa today i had him write me out a new one.... uncle davids cell number- 716-206-9312. (aunt) grace- 646-703-1105. and their house number 716- 580-3594

PICNIC ANYONE?

Hi Cousins.

That is great that Grandpa has been making improvements. I heard he is supposed to come home today... I hope they are able to determine what caused him to fall twice...

As for me...let's see. I went back to work yesterday after 3 weeks. Part of that time I was off because the university was closed, then when I was supposed to go back on the 5th I got sick for a few days with high fever, congestion, aches... then it turned into bronchitis which is the second time I have had it in a month, and I usually do not get sick so I do not know what is going on. I wanted to visit grandpa but did not want to get him sicker or gma sick. I am not 100% yet but almost. Then I had taken 3 vacation days to study and then recup from my licensing exam which I took saturday. It was the worst exam I have ever taken and I have no idea if I passed and won't know for a few weeks. Its a national exam but it for my license in NYS. I think my immune system was down because of the stress of the exam, so hopefully it is back to normal and I won't get sick anytime soon.

Let's see... what else. Oh, I got a new entrance door in our kitchen which I am very happy about. A present to myself since Bob was fine with the big window door... lol. We also got a new stove. You may remember from the picnic in June that our stove was from the 70s. His parents had gotten us a generous Sears gc last Christmas that we finally used this year to buy the new one. In the spring we will get two of our three porches remodeled since they are literally falling apart and not safe. So its pretty exciting.

So, how do we feel about another Peters' Picnic in the summer at my house? Bob was asking me if we were going to do it again so I thought I would post and poll the cousins. We should set the date within the next month or so so that the out of towners can plan vacation time, etc.

I am at work but the students just moved back in yesterday and begin classes today so its not busy yet. I think I will sit in the sauna for a bit after my lunchtime workout because it is so bitter cold out today.

I walked in my office this morning to find my fridge open. We have nosy cleaning people who are notorious for leaving their presence behind (writing on post its left on desks, writing on wall calendars, stealing candy, etc... ) I was mad because I have string cheese, yogurt, and some condiments in there. They were still cold when I came in so I think they are OK.

Well, I should get back to work and catch up on my reading. Hope everyone is healthy and happy.

well good morning cousins! here i am with cooper and susan on her last day of freedom. we just finished watching er and were getting ready to go out to lunch with jeff. after we have to go shopping for zip up, no heel boots for susan to wear to work tomorrow... talk about last minute! we havent found anything as of yet! wish us luck! then of course we will be visiting grandma and grandpa at the hospital. poor grandma looks so tired sitting there all day! but those of us who visit them, have seen grandpas improvements and are hopeful that he will be allowed to go home within the next couple of days.

were very jealous of mark who gets to visit our flordia family on saturday! hope u have fun marky!

somebody better get on here and update us on their lives, not that we dont love hearing from olivia, but we have nothing else to talk about!

WOOOO!!!! 2009!

2008 was a really good year.

I ended it by going to this club called the coliseum and swing dancing
It was sooo much fun, there was a balloon drop at midnight and my friend who is really big into swing dancing won the prize for being the best vintage dressed and she got a free photoshoot which she needs cuz those are expensive. Anyways we were there from 8-1 and then we went to dennys and stayed there for awhile and we were gonna go to the beach and watch the sunrise but a couple people were feeling tired! lol
But my friend who i was gonna stay at her house got sick and i got home at 4 in the morning and i seriously wasnt even tired.
Last night was soooo much funn
