"A Minivan?"

"What is Meredith's problem?.... One kid and no husband. And she sure isn't going to find one driving around in this."
-Michael Scott

I hope we are all doing well.

Sarah- No problem...You should def get that money...if they do anything to Joe because of something you did, reactionary, he can sue for discriminatory employment practices. If anything happen i think Froghair is hiring as well...

Trish- enjoy Dave's day off...i hope you guys do something fun...

Bernadette - Sam is too funny....

Susan- Thats cool, you guys should def check it out. If you pay half of the bills make sure that you get your name on the mortgage....

Well I gotta jet,
I love all of you,
Mark

Hello!

Hi! How is everyone? I am doing really good here, mainly because I only have this afternoon and tomorrow morning left of work! Yes!
Bern...those bat killing stories are no fun, too bad I didn't live closer to you because you could call me up so I could take those animals outside!..haha
I am meeting some old co-workers for lunch today. They all left here because they hated it and now work at other firms, which they love! Hopefully that will be me soon, except I won't go to another firm, I'll go to another career! haha We'll see....I might be stuck here longer than I want!
Yesterday I had a good day after work...first I went to Grandma and Grandpa'a and had dinner with them and watched some Andy Griffith! Then I went to my other Grandma's (in the nursing home) and played Bingo with her and my aunt....it was fun! Buscia really wanted me or my aunt to win, but visitors aren't allowed to win anyways, so whenever we got close to having Bingo, we'd sneak one of our chips off the board! But what's funny about that is the little old lady that was sitting next to my aunt caught her doing it and made her put her chip back on the board! She didn't end up getting Bingo though, thankfully!
Oh so today after work Jeff and I are going to drive by some houses for sale. He lives with his Mom still. However, she has to move, and we decided that at 26, he probably should get his own place. So instead os renting, we decided that we will (hopefully) buy a house, he lives in it, I pay half the mortgage, and when we get married, I'll move in....I think it's a really good idea! And I think I have been pressuring getting married on him because I wanted to buy a house, but now that we'll have one, no more pressure (well not as much). We are actually going to look at one on Fruitwood (Grandma's street), the price just dropped, and it's a really nice house....I am thinking there has to be something wrong with it though because it seems cheap for what you are getting, but we'll check it out!

Alright, I am going now...talk to you all soon...and see you Jenn and Tricia on Tuesday!

Love you,
Susan

Hi everyone

Wow. So many posts to read! Sorry I have been absent. I checked a few times and there weren't any so I gave up checking for a while. It was good to read and catch up on what everyone is doing.

Susan- that is cool about wanting to get the degree you really want. What kinds of jobs are in Syracyse and Albany that you saw open?

I am listening to the police scanner and just heard this come across- a 12 year old kid kicked by a cow- its not really funny, because I am sure it hurts like hell, but i had to laugh.

Sam is doing well. Still crazy but I love him and think he will be just fine. He has not peed or pooped in the house in a week and a half- that I know of- so that is good. Speaking of the house...

So Bob and I went to a movie with my parents last night and we came home and he was eating something so I was going upstairs to bed first and as I was walking up the stairwell and got to the landing, I see this thing looking right at me. It took about 3 seconds to register that it was a bat hanging onto the open window screen in the landing. I have only seen them flying around or dead, so I guess that is why it took me a couple seconds. I slowly turned around and went back downstairs to tell Bob, then I shut myself in the bathroom while Bob went to try to kill it with the tennis rackets he keeps lying around just in case. I forgot the dog who was in his cage so I start to open the door and I hear "stay in there." So i figured bob and the bat were on the first floor and i had better stay put. after all, the dog has a rabies vaccination, i don't. poor sam was whining because he was probably confused as to what was going on with bob grunting and swearing and knocking into things and me shut in the bathroom for 15 minutes. Bob got it and killed it thankfully, and we finally got to bed. I keep looking at all the windows today as I walk by. I won't forget how that bat looked staring at me for a long, long time. luckily we figured out how he got in and taped it up.

Tricia- yes, i have been studying this summer but not as much as i would have hoped. even though NU c ould care less if i am licensed, they should and i imagine that when they catch up with the world of psychology, they will require it and be glad that i am (once I pass the crazy exam). In terms of the benefits- for liabilty reasons, in case we get sued or i need t testify, i think i have to be licensed. it would look very bad on the university to have an unlicensed psychologist as asst director (and soon director perhaps) with no licensed psychologist on staff. i don't believe i can even testify... i can call myself a psychologist working in higher ed without being licensed because it is considered an "exempt setting" (don't ask, i don't know what it all means). If I was working in a hospital or private practice, i would be considered a psychology resident and could not use the title. most states are like this- the title is "protected" for licensed doctoral level psychologists mostly. also, if i wanted to work in another setting, i need my license unless its another "expemt setting" and canot be on an insurance panel if not licensed. I do not plan to leave my job anytime soon but want to be prepared just in case. so thats it in a nutshell. i plan to take the exam before christmas sometime, but i have a lot of studying left to do if i want to pass. NYS can be a bitch too. i need 5 points higher to pass then if i were t take the exam in FL....

ok, i think this is a long enough post for now. Hope everyone is well!

Bernadette

good morning!

well here i am with cooper watching tv, drinking some coffee! gotta love my mornings! well as some of you may remember i just got my new phone while you were all in town...$200! well its not charging, so i had to go to verizon this morning to drop it off for an hour so they can fix it... such a hassle! you would think that after a month it wouldnt break... what can you do though! hopefully they fix it and its under warranty so i dont have to pay anything!

so im at verizon today and i see mr. northway (hes a guy that belongs to a group that my parents and aunt peggy and uncle jim belong too, for those of you who dont know.) there. we were talking and i told him how susan and i were going to visit the merriners tomorrow and what not and he asked how my mom was doing, and was like i think we are bringing dinner over for you all tonight... susan he wished us a safe trip as well...

also i got a call from the labor dept guy. he says that im the only one that came forward about the overtime and not being paid for breaks that the manangers clock you out for... well he says they owe me about a hundred and asked if i wanted to go forward and have him try to get me the money, i talked with joe(who said he didnt care) and my mom and decided that i wanted him to go forward and try to get me the money.

mark- renting a tux sux but u will look good! thanks for dropping off the ties!

tricia- really looking forward to visisting with all of you! only one work day that stands in the way!

thats about it! love and miss you all!
sarah

Good morning!

Hi everyone!

Mark, Susan, and Sarah--so glad to hear that your mom is doing ok. My mom told us yesterday that she is home already. That is great. I bet she is more comfortable resting in her own home.

Susan, Sarah--looking forward to visiting with you on Tuesday!

Mark--no word yet on the convention. I am going to call the office that was the main planner and see if there is something in the works.

Bernadette--where are you? How's Sam? Did you decide to study for your licensing exam this summer? I was wondering about that...being that you worked all year, I am guessing you do not need the license to do so. What does the license allow you to do? I was just curious about that.

Yesterday was my mom's birthday. My dad took her out to dinner and when they got home, Jenn, the girls, my, Dave and the boys, were hiding in their house with cake and balloons. The kids were so excited to yell surprise when she walked in. I think they suspected we were there though. We told our dad that we were stopping up later on so they at least knew we'd be up at some point but when they got home, Buddy was on the porch (Gianna is scared of dogs and won't come in the house if Buddy is in there) and they knew they didn't leave Buddy outside when the left. It was still fun though and the kids really enjoyed it and mom did too.

Today's agenda--get our van inspected (nothing like waiting until the last possible minute, huh?). Dave is off so we will probably do something fun with the kids later on.

Hope you are all well!

Love,
Tricia

Where Have I Been?

unfortunately this will be short and sweet...my mom is well, but unfortunately, due to the surgery they are going to have to change their trip, so we have to cancel the party...It stinks really bad, but she wouldn't be able to enjoy herself in a way she would need to, so we are going to take them out to a nice dinner instead, which should be alot of fun...

tricia- i'm sure your friend doesn't care what you get her, just that you're there and support him/her on their big day, plus if they can't spring for A/C in the limo they don't deserve a good gift...lol...j/k.... Any word on the office convention...? Keep me posted on that...

Sarah- whats the word on OCB...have you heard anything else?

Oh yea....uncle dave asked Josh and I to be in his wedding, which I'm pretty excited about...sure renting a tux sux, but i'm sure i'll look dam good...lol...

Well I gotta jet...
I Love All Of You,
Mark

Hi

Hello!

Wow! So nice to see a new post here!

Susan--how is your mom? Please keep us all posted, ok? How was your trip to VA with Jeff? I will definitely be here on the 5th so I am excited to see you. I'm Jenn will be around but if, for some reason, she is not, you can always come to my house. I'm actually on the way from VA to her house--you'll pass right by me. I think going back to school is a great idea. How long will it take to get a bachelor's being that all your general courses will be covered? I imagine that it won't take too long. Something to consider is to get your master's in the environmental science field instead of another bachelors. Just a thought.

I was away over the weekend. I went to the conference I mentioned a few weeks ago. My friend and I had a great time. Most of the seminars were really informative and we met a few people. Most importantly, we had some great food! And it was so nice to catch up with her in person.

How is everyone? Where is everyone? I would love to hear how you are all doing. Stop by and post! :)

Love ya's,
Tricia

Goodmorning!

Hi! How is everyone? I'm doing alright here, just another wonderful day at work....haha

My Mom is currently in surgery, I am so nervous for her even though I know the surgery is so common!! I just don't want her to be in a lot of pain after though you know? I wanted to go visit her on my lunch, but I think she will still be sedated, so I will probably just have to stop in after work.

Sarah and I are leaving Friday for Virginia! I am very excited! That means that next Tuesday we will be stopping in PA to see you guys!! I am assuming we will be leaving VA at like 8 or 9, so we should get to Jenn's house at like 1 or 2 most likely! I'm planning on calling Jenn this week sometime just to finalize everything!

So I am thinking about taking some classes at night to get the bachelor's degree that I originally wanted to get when I started school, Environmental Science. I finally feel motivated to do something else besides be an accountant! The only problem is that with the Environmental degree, the only job I'd want is with the State, and there's nothing open in Buffalo as of now. The only jobs that are available are in Albany and Syracuse. So i figured I'll get the degree, and keep doing accounting until a job opens in Buffalo, which will hopefully be soon! So that's the probable plan right now, I think it's good!

Well, i should probably get to work now, haven't done much yet today! Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning Cousins

Ok I do not like that the last post was on Saturday. Let's get back to it people!!! Anyway hope everyone is doing well. Just thought I would post real quick while I have a little time to kill. I am up very early this morning cause I am taking some friends to the airport, but I will be going right back to bed when I get back, Yippy!!! Not much going on here, I guess Uncle David's wedding is going to be November 8th now, which works out for me a little more time to save money "Good Times" I talked to Uncle David yesterday, he said it is not set in stone yet but that is the day they could get the church and the reception hall and it is a Saturday, so when Grace gets back this week they will finalize and let us all know. Well that is about it for now. I miss you all sooooo much and can't wait to see you again!!!!! I love you all, take care and talk to you soon!!

Sunny weekend days!

Hello everyone!

I noticed it has been quiet here. Hopefully it is just because it is summer time and everyone is enjoying the days and not that the novelty of our blog has worn off.

I hope you are all doing well. We are fine. We are still adjusting to Dave's switch to day shift. I am struggling to find "my" time now. When he was on nights, I would get the kids in bed and then have about 3 hours where I could do my work in peace. Now, Dave is home at night so I don't have that time and since the kids wake me up around 6 a.m. I can't get that time in the morning. So far, I have been getting work done in the early morning hours after breakfast when the kids are awake but are content to just hang out.

Last week, Andrew was sick all week with a virus. I was in a wedding on a 90 degree day and they reception and the limo's were not air conditioned. Fun! Actually, it wasn't too bad. I do not like the heat but thankfully it wasn't humid so it wasn't too bad. If someone can tell me how to post a picture here on the blog, I will post one of me and my friends at the wedding.

Next weekend I am supposed to be going to my first law conference. I am really excited to go. My friend from law school who lives in Pittsburgh (her name is Lauren. Her husband also went to law school with us and he is Dave's best friend from childhood and they are the reason Dave and I met) is going to meet me there. The only catch is that we were supposed to register last week and we didn't realize that. So, I have to wait until Monday so I can call and be sure that there is still room. If it works out, it should be a fun weekend.

This morning is beautiful so when Dave wakes up we are going to take the boys to the park. Last time we went, some guy called the cops on us. The playground area is surrounded by a big field which has pavement around it. We took Daniel's Jeep with us so he can ride it in an open area rather than in our yard. Well, the park has a sign that says "no motorized vehicles" which we saw but didn't really think Daniel's jeep would be considered motorized. We thought it meant more for ATV's. So, this guy who lives in a condo next to the park is standing on his porch yelling at us saying "can't you read? No motorized vehicles" and he threatened to call the police. So, Dave called the police and asked them if the sign applied to Daniel's jeep and the person he spoke with said no and that we could continue letting him ride it. Well, that made the guy on the porch livid so he called the police. When the police got there, we went right up to them and told them that we called their station and asked and were told that it was fine. They said that the man yelling at us is the president of some organization and that the park was named after him. He watches everything and when he doesn't like something, he calls them. He doesn't call the station dispatcher though, he calls the police officers directly. The police were very nice and said that they understand where we are coming from but since he is the president of whatever group, we have to listen to him and not ride in the park. They told us to stay and play just not to let Daniel ride anymore. We were so aggravated though that we just packed up and left. It was getting close to bedtime anyway. It was funny though because they said that he is an old man who never had any kids and has no understanding of just letting the kids play and have fun. Then they were teasing Dave and I because Andrew was whining and Duke was practically shaking because he was scared of the officers (he is still very timid around new people). So the policemen were teasing us saying that we should take our ferocious dog and our unruly child home. That part was funny but the rest was aggravating. So, anyway we are going to the park today but we are not going back to that park. We will go to a different one.

Kristy--thanks for posting the pictures. The entire Florida crew were in my dream last night. I think we were at another reunion.

Bernadette--your salad sounds yummy! I really like the meatless nuggets. Dave was telling me that Josh is starting a new job. Did he start it yet? Does he like it?

Daniel is upstairs waking up Dave. I better get our things together and get dressed.

Love ya's,
Tricia

Too cute!

Sarah--that is so cute! I am so excited to have been part of your favorite thing to do that summer. :-) I'm sure Buddy would be honored as well.

Bernadette--thanks for posting the pictures! I didn't take many. In fact, that night I finally got to bed at 2 a.m. after driving home and taking a quick shower. I was thinking how I barely talked to anyone because I was playing with Daniel or chasing after one of the kids. Everyone was a huge help with them but I still felt like they were the only ones I saw all day. I can't wait to come out again and just relax and visit. I think I may come out with just Daniel. Andrew is too difficult in the car and to occupy in other people's homes. He'll outgrow it in a year or so, so I know it gets better!

How do you post them here in the post? I don't know how to do that.

Nothing exciting happening here. I have been busy working. I have two online courses right now, I am preparing my syllabus for two classes for the fall semester and I started doing legal research, per diam for a friend. This Saturday is the wedding I am in and it has become quite expensive.
Does anyone have any gift ideas that are nice yet inexpensive? We spent a lot on the shower and our dresses that I just don't have a lot left over for the gift. They have to understand though, right?

Well, I think that is about all. Love to all!
Tricia

i thought this was cute...

so im going through some things that were downstairs in a box and i found this journal for school.

the date is sept. 4th, 1997-
the best thing i did this summer was i went to Pennsavania. i got to see my aunt and uncle and cousins. i got to see buddy the dog

and a note from susan to my third grade teacher-
dear miss maziarz
yesterday sarah learned about 5th grade work. she learned about rays, angles, lines and line segments. (the next few sentances are just a joke.) that just proves that 3rd graders could be smart too. it seems that sarah could be very smart at home but only smart at school.

hahah i thought that was too cute! just thought i would share!
love you all!
sarah

good morning cousins!

well here i am with cooper, watching tv and drinking my coffee! back to normal! well my mom says hi to all the cousins! how is everyone doing? i miss you all very much!

i just wanted to say how much fun i had while you were all visiting and thank you again to bob and bernadette for letting us use your house for the reunion... and thank you to kristy for putting together the dvd...

well the guy from the labor depatment came over yesterday, so we went over everything again, wrote it down and i signed it. we actually looked over some of the payroll weeks and i found an example of what i was talking about... so thats good! and now i just wait.

thats about it for now! love and miss you all!

Oh what fun it is to ride....

I to must say that i had such a great with all of you...I was ecstatic when you all got here and very somber when you all had to leave...
Just remember August 10th we will be having a huge surprise party for my parents 30th wedding anniversary. I hope that some of our out of town family can make it. Just don't tell them that you are coming into town because the night before we rented them a hotel room so we can get everything setup so that they don't know about the party...I just don't want them to cancel there hotel stay because there is family in town... It would be great to see any of our family there. the party will be alot of fun so i hope to see many of you there....

I Love All Of You,
Mark

Good Morning Cousins...

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. We're getting back into the swing of things here, but looking forward to the holiday weekend.
Yesterday, while the girls were playing, they kept talking about everyone from Buffalo (and yes, Gianna kept telling Amber's shower story!) It was so cute. I could hear them from the kitchen talking on the play phone to many of you. They were pretending to bake cupcakes for a party and you all were there. The party was for Great-Grandpa's birthday and Great-Grandma brought flowers. It was so cute listening to them. I, on the other hand, was cleaning the kitchen and doing laundry from our trip which was NOT as much fun! Maybe I should have imagined you were all here helping me.
We watched the family dvd last night before bed and it is just awesome. Kristy, what a great job!! I know all the time you put into it and you did fantastic! Mia asked me if I could pause all the pictures and tell her who everyone is. Today, we will do that! And, the picnic Saturday was so much fun, too. Bernadette & Bob, thanks for having it at your house. It was perfect.
Well, just wanted to say hello this a.m. and wish you all a great day. I'll be sure to share all my pictures from our weekend together as soon as I d-load them. You guys do the same, okay? What a great time we all had. Mike and I kept talking about our stay the whole ride home. We need to visit much more and stay over. So much fun!!
Love you all, Miss you!
