Happy Birthday Mark!!
Hey everyone! I didn't want the day to go by without wishing Mark a great birthday. I hope you enjoyed your day Mark!!
Well, I've been packing and going thru everything we're taking with us on Saturday. Tomorrow night we have plans so after running to the store tomorrow afternoon for some groceries, I'm hoping everything will come together!
Tonight while home,we experienced our first bee sting....Mia got stung on her hand while playing outside after supper. I think kids are so petrified of getting stung that when they do, they totally lose control. She didn't know what to do for herself. She screamed, ran to me, cried, ran away from me, cried, jumped up and down all within 45 seconds!! Once she realized it really wasn't that bad, she was absolutely fine. In fact, she laughed at herself! I kept an eye on her for any allergic reaction. She was ready to play outside again within a few minutes. She remembered from The Bee Movie that a bee dies once it stings. When we were going back outside to play after it happened, she asked me if the bee was going to die. I told her it probably would. She said that the bees in our yard were probably getting ready for the stinging bee's funeral and that she's glad it can't sting her again, but hopes it goes to Heaven. After I told her that what she said was a nice thing to say, she ended the conversation with "well, I guess that bee learned his lesson and shouldn't have bit me!"
Oh, and although Mia was the one to get bit, Gianna was freaking out everytime anything flew, crawled or jumped near her! She's been afraid of bugs all summer and now that she knows Mia got bit, she was nuts.
Well, I hear Mike coming up our driveway...yes, his vehicle is THAT LOUD ...so I'm going to say hello and see how his day was.
See you all Saturday, can't wait!!
love you all!

PSS
OK, thanks to Marybeth who is following the directions, we realized Dysinger/93 is also called Robinson. I believe this is what the street sign says off of transit. Sorry about that!

Happy Birthday dear Mark....Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday, Mark! I hope you have a great day!
Bernadette--thanks for the directions. Looking forward to Saturday!
Nothing too much going on today. Its rainy and cool. Dave is off today but was offered overtime so he went in. The boys and I went up to see my dad this morning and take him a new cell phone that we picked up for him. He is covered in poison ivy so the kids had to keep their distance and we didn't stay too long.
That's about all for today. Mark, have a great day! See everyone on Saturday!
Love,
Tricia

PS Directions
OK, as I was driving home last night from my parents, I found a confusing part in the directions. If coming from Transit, see my additions in purple below:
After passing the drive-in, turn right at the third light. This is Dysinger Road. (It is also Route 93 and will be almost directly across from a Buick dealership. You will pass Ford on your right, then Honda on your left, then comes Dysinger/93)
You will go through a lighted intersection. Your first left, about 1.5 mile past that, will be Bowmiller Road. Turn left.
Go through the stop sign. A few yards beyond it will be a 4-way stop. Turn right onto Lincoln Ave. Bowmiller ends at Akron Road actually. Turn left (its a weird turn), then there is a 4 way stop. This is Lincoln and you turn right.
A couple of hundred yards past that, turn left onto the first road you see, This road becomes Day Road (whether it's Day Road at this point I don't know). It does say Day and Ernest. It becomes only Day Road- no turns- it just becomes it...
Hope this helps!

Bugs on my plant!
I got a beautiful plant/flower arrangement for my birthday but I noticed today that there are a ton of little fruit fly type bugs all around it. Gross!
Sarah--so glad you got revenge!!! Good for you for being honest and telling them about all the illegal practices. I don't think we have a cheesecake factory here. I know there is one in Pittsburgh but I never ate there. I have heard good things about it though.
Susan--Nice to see you on the blog, its been awhile. Maybe you can go out for a long lunch today, work a little while after and then leave early. :-)
Bernadette--Dave gives the dogs their baths. I don't think they love it but they don't hate it either. Buddy used to despise them but as he got older he started to get really excited to have a bath. We started crate training Duke this week because he was having some accidents in the house overnight. He does not like going into the crate but once he is in there he is fine and so far no accidents!
We are pulling up our carpet in the dining room today because we want to have the hard wood floor underneath.
Talk to you later!
Tricia

Happy Friday!
Hi everybody.
Susan and everyone else that prefers vege stuff: I bought 2 packs of vege burgers, I think BOCA (i can't remember and they are in the freezer outside and I am too lazy to look). I also bought some turkey hot dogs (not for Susan) but those might go before the picnic, but I should have a few left;). That is great about the weather- hope it holds!
Jenn- I think you had asked me about paper products- here is what we have- plenty of plastic cups, paper plates, and some plastic ware. If you want, we could use some more plastic ware, and maybe a pack of stronger plates (we have about 200 of the cheap, flimsy ones- do you think they are strong enough to hold kibbe??) so if you want to bring those, that would be great. Unless you thought of something else, not a problem. just let me know.
The plumber is coming today to fix our downstairs toilet that leaks through the bolts and the valve is faulty. i am so excited that it will be fixed!! I think its strange that i am looking forward to the plumber, but i am. the woman called and asked if i would be home and gave me a head's up that a tall, large, heavy man in uniform would be coming to fix the toilet...lol... its bob's friend's company but its not his friend coming...
anyway.... what are people's plans this weekend? bob is going fishing today and otmorrow so erin is sleeping over and we are going to drink wine, eat cheese and strawberries, and watch lifetime movies! so fun.... and take sam for a walk...maybe by the canal if the weather holds....
ok, i should clean the bathroom before the guy comes and put in some study time.
see everyone in a week!!

Goodmorning!!
Hi everyone!!!
So there are 5 people at my office today, everybody is off!! I do not feel like working at all, so I sat and talked to our secretary for the first 30 min, talked to Jeff for a little on the phone, did make one phone call to a client, and then updated myself with some new Peta news! haha But now I don't know what else to do....oh, I'll write out some bills and walk to the mailbox!! And then I have a ton of files to carry down the 3 flights of stairs to the basment, so that could take some time!
Anyways, I checked the weather for the 28th (which obviously could change a lot since it is a week away), but it says it is going to be 80 and mostly sunny!!! The days around it are going to be nice too because if it says it's going to rain on Friday, I'd be nervous for Saturday you know?? But so far, it is looking good!! Let's keep our fingers crossed!!
Jeff's Grandma died yesterday so I have to go to the wake after work today. It is where Aunt Deb's wake was, I think I may struggle a bit, especially seeing her house and all too.... but we'll see....
So I finally planned mine and Sarah's annual trip to VA to visit the Merriners. We are going the beginning of August. So PA crew, we were planning on stopping there on our way home on Tuesday August 5...gonna be around??
Well, I guess I'll start my bills now!! Have a great day everyone!
Love you,
Susan

after breakfast...
good morning all! how is everyone??? ive been good, sorry i havent been on lately, i havent been too busy, just a little lazy. but i am back!
bernadette- congrats on the new dog! im glad that you found one that you love!
so yesterday i got a little revenge on ocb, my mom told me that i had a message on the machine from the dept. of labor about ocb. so i called the guy back and he was asking about overtime hours and breaks... if you ever worked OT hours they would just clock you out for extra breaks for that week, or carry the extra hours over to the week after. and they just clock servers out for breaks even if they dont take them. so i spilled my guts on all of the illegal things that were done there that i knew of, so he said that he was going to call a couple of the people that i had told him about and get back to me next week....
on wed my friend kelley and i went to the cheesecake factory for dinner... which was really good! i love cheesecake! and also we went and saw sex and the city.. i thought it was really good, even though i didnt follow the show at all.
well thats about it for me! have a great day everyone!

Sam's first night
Well, he was out snoring (literally) by 9:30 pm. I did not hear him all night, so I think he was fine. However, he did manage to take a poop and pee in his cage, all ready for me to clean up at 7am when I came downstairs. I hope this does not happen every morning until he gets used to his cage. Any suggsetions would be welcome. I just enrolled us in obedience classes nearby. I missed the first class but since the next round does not start until late July, she said its probably OK to begin a week late, so hope its OK with the trainer. If it is, we will begin next tuesday. Its so close too, which is nice. Now if only I can get him housetrained we should be all set. Oh, and I found out he hates baths. I did not have anywhere to put him (no tub in the basesment and our bathtub is beign calked later today (by me) and I did not want to use it, so we went outside with the hose and a bucket. He HATED it. Poor thing... tail between his legs and shaking. Geez... my parents said Sammy used to do that too but it seemed cruel. Trish- how are your dogs with getting a bath? He was real good with my 3 year old neice who came over last night tosee him. She was very active and noisy and Sam just looked at her, let her pet him, and then tried to get away from her (gently), so thats good. He really is a good dog, thank goodness.
well, time for lunch and then I am going to work on our bathroom.

Cute doggie!
Bernadette--he is really cute. How was your first night with him? He looks so friendly and happy.
How is everyone? Sarah, where have you been?
I'm getting ready to take Duke for a walk. It is cool and sunny outside so hopefully we can go a good distance. I try to do 2 or 3 miles but its been raining lately so if we walked it was only for a short time. Nothing else is going on here. I hope everyone is well!
Love,

It's a Cousin Thing...
Hello everyone! Happy Tuesday (although, it's still the day I dislike the most .) How is everyone? Susan, how's your leg? Have ya gotten hit with any boulder size hail today? You made me laugh when I read that. It stinks that your car was open when it started. We had a big thunderstorm through our area that helped drive away the awful humidity, thank God!! Hate humidity!! Today was really nice and kinda on the cool side.
So, how excited is everyone about next weekend? We are very excited! We had to shuffle around a few things, but ended up with a hotel near Grandma's. We are driving out Saturday morning and most likely will drive right to Bernadette's after checking in.
Bernadette, the pictures of all the dogs are so cute. When I read your post, I thought how hard it must be to go see them all and have to pick only one...or to leave with either one or none! Tough choices!
So what is left that has to be brought for the picnic? Mike and I were thinking of bringing some goodies, like brownies & cookies, but if there's something that is needed more we can bring that instead. How about things like paper products: paper plates, cups, garbage bags? (why do I have the feeling that Aunt Peg thought of those things already? ) Can someone check the list you guys made and let me know?
Well, I do think that's all for now. I had a good laugh before because of something Mia said. Have to share this since it's a "cousin thing." I was talking to Kristy and she was telling me she's going to see a comedian tomorrow night. Before hanging up, I said, "have fun tomorrow night. Laugh alot!!" Mia heard me say that and asked "Mom, what's going on tomorrow night?" I told her that cousin Kristy is going to see...blah blah blah." I asked her if she knew what a comedian is? She answered that they are really funny people. I said Yes. I told her Kristy was seeing someone called a stand-up comic, who will go on stage alone and tell jokes and make everyone laugh alot. She said (this is too cute!!) is the stand up comic Krazy Katy??!!?? I said, No you goofball!! It's someone whose job is to make you laugh, not Krazy Katy!! She's just a big goofball like you that we laugh AT, too!! How funny!!
Okay, time to get dinner, time outside (if it doesn't rain) and baths. Better get started!!
love you all & can't wait to see everyone!

This is hard!
Trying to pcik a dog from the SPCA is more difficult than I imagined. I found another adorable puppy that was literally grabbing onto my arm as I was pulling it out of his cage and resting his head on it. It was too cute. my mom and Lauren were like, he loves you, how can you leave him? I did leave him. I just don't think I am ready to handle a puppy. I am going back tomorrow, hopefully with my dad. He knows a lot more about dogs than i do, having grown up with them. maybe he can help me decide.
Susan- Bob left it all up to me, which sounded nice at first but now I realize what a big decision this is and wish someone else had part of the responsibility in deciding. I want to have a large cage for the dog to stay in...at least at first... do you know anyone with one I could borrow/buy. I think they will be $$$ in the store. Or anyone else for that matter... if anyone knows someone who does not need it anymore... i was hoping to find one at a garage sale. that is how my parents found one for Sammy... but they have since gotten rid of it. oh well.
As for where everyone is staying, I think Heath and Olivia are at my parent's, Kristy and Amber with me most nights (we finally moved upstairs and have the extra bedroom all set!), Aunt Donna and Scott are staying at the residents inn...i heard Katy is coming but have no idea where she is staying... Jenn and Mike are staying in a hotel i think with the girls... probably out by us for saturday night to be close....
well, i need to eat breakfast and get some things aruond the house done.
hope all is well with everyone. See everyone soon!!

Goodmorning!
Hi!!! How is everyone?? I am good here. Work has been dragging lately, but it's manageable!! So I can't wait until next week!! We are going to have so much fun!! I hope the weather is good though, I wonder what we will do if it is not? So where is everyone staying, Aunt Peg's?
Bern, those dogs are all so cute!! Did you go back to the SPCA yesterday, or are you going today? Do you not want to take one home until you bring Bob to see it? Or did he put it all up to you?
Oh, so I don't know what other areas got it, but we got hail the size of golf balls yesterday. I had all my car windows open, including my sun roof, and I heard really loud banging. I ran outside, and it was pouring with hail. So i jumped in my car, and the sunroof kept opening and closing because the hail was getting stuck in it!! I was getting pelted!! Oh, and Sarah, you will find this funny: as I was running outside to my car, a huge hail ball nailed me in my bad ankle!! haha of course that would happen!!
Well, I should probably start to work now. I hope everybody has a great day!!
Love you all and see everyone soon!!

Happy Father's Day to all our Dads!
Bernadette--he is cute! He is the one that was coughing? I'm sure a vet can fix that.
If you really liked that other puppy, could you get him and crate train him until he is a little older and ready to be alone in the house all day? I think you probably can do that. Just something to keep in mind.
Dave started day shift today so we are all excited that he'll be home in just a few hours. But he had his last day of night shift last night so he got home at 11 last night and then had to wake up at 4:30 this morning. I'm sure he will be tired tonight but he can go to bed early.
Happy Father's Day to all our Dads and Grandpa!
Love,
Tricia

PS
I would post the Pointer's pic up but his profile on the SPCA site says he is camera shy. He is adorably spotted though, and named Marty.

Good morning.
I went yesterday and Revere had already gotten adopted and Max was there and we spent some time with him. He was very active and seemed to have something wrong with his spine (it looked crooked) and we did not "click." so my mom and i played with some more and I liked this 1 yo Pointer mix. i am guessing part of his mix is dalmation because he was grayish with black spots all over- very cute. He seemed to have allergies because he kept coughing and hacking up stuff- not sure what was wrong with him- but he had a fun personality. Then there was this adorable puppy- boxer/collie mix. he loved me i think and it was hard to put him back in his cage (my mom wanted me to take him home) but i can't get one so young because he can't be left alone for 9 hours when i go back to work and bob and i both work too far to come back to let the dog out, and i don't want to leave it outside. so... no luck yesterday but i do like that pointer and will go back next week to see him again and look at more. in the meantime, i need to buy some supplies in case i go and take one home with me that day. so far i have a toy and a food dish :)

SO CUTE!!!
They are both so cute! What will you do if they are both there? Will you consider getting two dogs? Prior to finding Duke, Dave wanted a puppy but puppies are a lot of work so I said we should get a dog that was at least 1 or 2. But, I fell in love with Duke not knowing his age (we still do not know how old he is. His vet appt. got moved to next week so hopefully we'll get an idea there). Good luck! Make sure you post tonight and tell us what happened.

Bernadette--I'm so excited for you! Dogs from the SPCA are the best because they are just so happy to have a home. Duke is awesome and does all the things I wished Libby would do. I took him with me on a walk/run last night and I loved every minute of it (as did he). I never had a dog that I could walk/run with. Can you email me links to the dogs you like? I want to see them! I'm sure they are cute!
Candy is a movie, I think an independent film. It starred Heath Ledger and it was about a couple that is addicted to heroin and how their lives progress. It was really good.

Just a hello...
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to pop in and say hello. I am putting Andrew in bed and then taking Duke for a walk so that I can get some exercise in today. I've been walking/running on the treadmill the past few days but tonight the temperature is so nice I decided I would walk with Duke.
Nothing new to report. We ran errands today and that is about all. Dave and I watched The Bucket List last night. Well actually I watched the beginning and then fell asleep but Dave watched it all. He said it was really good. I hope to watch the end tonight or tomorrow. I also recently watched Candy. It was good and definitely and eye opener.
Alright, time to walk. Talk to you all later.
Love,
Tricia

Hump Day
Hi everyone!
Tricia- that is awesome about getting a pool in a couple years. I went to Connie's over the weekend when it was hot to swim with her and Annaleha, who is three, can't swim, but thought she could. She whined to be let "down" but did not understand if we let go of her she would go down to the bottom of the pool. I plan to teach her to swim when she gets a little older. That should be fun! Oh, and you all could bring the chips. We are making/providing a bunch of other stuff so it would help us out if you could do the snacks. Thanks.
Sarah- I am sorry you are not working tonight. I'll let you know what I think of Kyoto, though. I am so excited to see Sex and the City!
The first hour and 15 minutes of work went by fast. I had to make changes to our brochures and make copies of these assessments I found a website. It is beautiful out today- not too hot and sunny! I think I will skip the gym and go walking during lunch.
Well, I should get back to work. Have a great day everyone, and hope to chat with some of you later.

Feeling hot, hot, hot!
Hey there!
Daniel and I just came inside. We were outside and he was swimming in his kiddie pool. I sat in the shade and read. In another year or two when Andrew is old enough, we are going to get a pool.. I've decided. I hate being hot but hate being stuck indoors when the weather is nice. We have a/c in our house but I feel like we should have the windows open because the weather is so nice. If I had a pool, I could sit outside all day long but still be cool.
Bernadette--I've seen that rice website before but forgot about it. I'll donate some rice today! If you and Bob wanted to supply the chips etc. I could bring something else. Just let me know.
Mark--what's up with losing your post, twice? How's the new car holding up?
Sarah--I'd come visit you on Sunday if we lived closer. It sounds like you really like the restaurant you are working at. It sounds like a nice place.
I purchased Daisies from my friend today. She was selling them for the Lupus foundation. They are ginormous! They currently stand at two feet tall and I cut a lot off the bottom to get them in my vase. They were probably three feet long when she brought them here. They are pretty though.
Ok, I have a headache so I am going to find some tylenol. Talk to you all later.

Tuesday Morning
Hi everybody.
Mark- let me know if you are going and we can meet up there. I think I posted the link in a previous post- all the details are on the page, or you can go to Q102.5 homepage and there is a big advertisement there.
I am doing the Niagara Wine Trail this saturday with Bob, my former roommate, and her bf. Can't wait! Its one of their event weekends and there is wine and cheese at each winery and you get a glass. $20/person. Bob goes along and doesn't pay since he does not drink.I'm lucky he agrees to go and be the DD.
Anyone see the NYSPA article with Bob quoting things about power (how the NYSPA refuses to sell his company cheap power) on the front page of the Buffalo NEws yesterday? If you want to read it, the link is http://www.buffalonews.com/home/story/365785.html?imw=Y
Not too much going on at work today. Putting together a presentation for 70 RAs my first day or two back at work in August, seeing a client, organizing my office that get's neglected during the semester.... those sort of things.
Hope we are more chatty today!

Tricia- that would be fine to have him sleep in the house as long as someone is in there. Snacks would be perfect. Bob and I were going to have chips and stuff but we'll leave that to you. Thanks!
Sarah- are you working this wednesday night? I might come on for dinner with a friend or two before we see Sex in the City... where do you get these coupons I hear about?

Purple!
Bernadette--that is funny that it is purple! Jennifer will be so excited! lol...
I was thinking that we could bring chips, pretzels, and snacks like that since it will be easy to travel with them. I was also going to bring s'mores but I see that is covered already. I have a question for you, if we do stay the night and camp out, can I put Andrew in your house somewhere? I have a pack and play crib. I am not sure what we are doing with Dave's work schedule and also because Andrew won't sleep outside. But if we are camping far away from the house, I wouldn't want to leave Andrew alone in there either. Not sure what we'll do but I wanted to ask and see what you thought.

Reunion Information
Hi everybody. Today is my last monday of "work" for the summer. I put it in quotes because I have plenty of work and studying to do over the summer. But it will be nice to do most of it from home.
Tricia- it is so hot here too. I agree- sunny and in the 70s would be pur-fect. Luckily Bob had a window a/c unit he put up in our bedroom so it made sleeping bearable. The rest of the house was hot and muggy. It is going to drop some by wednesday, and the nights will be cooler too, so that is good. That is great about Dave getting day shifts now! I hope it doesn't make the reunion weekend stressful for you though.
Speaking of the reunion- we came up with a who's-bringing-what list at grandmas yesterday. Let me see if I can recall off the top of my head (the list is hanging on my refrig at home).
Hot dogs, hamburgers, condiments, soda, chips, kibbe, hushwa, appetizers sandwhiches, green salad, beans, vege tray, fruit bowl, grape leaves, a hot entree (whatever yummy conconction Grace makes), cookies, and s'mores are all covered so far. Did I miss anything from yesterday? So PA and FL people (well, Kristy is making the kibbe I think), you can bring whatever is easiest for you since you are traveling. Bob and I will have some beer but I think people agreed to bring whatever they wanted too. We will have paper plates and all that as well, and we have a few heating trays (not sure what they are called but you put the candles under them) we can use outside to keep the hot stuff hot.
Well, I have to go rent a port o john (Grandpa suggested this and it is probably a good idea since there will be a lot of us and our toilets are very tempermental).
Hope there are more posts to read today. I have no clients or meetings but a lot of miscellaneous stuff to do so welcome interruptions!

Happy Monday!
Hello cousins!
Is it hot everywhere today? It has been in the 90's all weekend. I hate the very hot and humid weather. I prefer it sunny and 70...I should move to California.
Let's see, what have we been up to? Well, on my birthday we went to the event that my friend organized. It was really nice. They had some great food samples (my favorite was the bourbon glazed scallops) and some good wine too. Oh and this great cake that had raspberry filling. I didn't win any raffles or door prizes which I thought was unfair since it was my birthday (they should have rigged it!) lol...
On Friday Jenn and I went to eat at the same restaurant we went to when Susan, Sarah, Bernadette and Lauren were in town. It was really good and I was so stuffed when I got home.
I finished another online class yesterday so once I correct their finals, I will be down to two classes for most of the summer which is great. It is a lot easier to control than having 6 or 7.
Duke is doing really well. He and Libby play and get along great. He has really come out of his shell and is playful and sometimes bold, as dogs tend to be. For the most part he is really good. We have always put Libby in the kitchen at night while we are sleeping so she doesn't eat any of our stuff. Duke goes in there too but he can jump the gate so most mornings we find him under the dining room table. It's ok though because he doesn't eat toys like Libby does. If she didn't eat toys she could sleep anywhere as well.
Tonight Dave is getting out early from work and we are going to a minor league baseball game. It should be fun if it isn't too hot. Usually its a little cooler at the stadium.
Did I tell you guys Dave got switched to day shift finally? You bid for shifts and seniority wins. Every time he had an opportunity for day shift someone with more seniority always bid too. But this time, he won. So instead of working nights, he'll be home by 3p.m. He'll have early starts but that's ok, he can go to bed after dinner if he needs to. At least he'll be here for dinner. But his days off changed so our plans may change for the reunion. We will be there but we may drive out that morning and come home that night because he probably can't get Sunday off. We may come Friday night but I have to see about a hotel.
Sarah--that was a cute story about the guy at grandma's house.
I guess I will go. Hopefully we'll get some posts today and I can write more later. Have a great day!
Love,
Tricia

happy friday!
good morning cousins! well susan and i didnt go to breakfast this morning because she needed to sleep a little bit longer. so unfortunatly i woke up at 6 thinking we were going, but its ok cuz i had to drive her to her car anyway. so i got home from driving her and cooper was already sleeping! i get annoyed because i wake up ( or stay up after breakfast ) to let him run around and some days he just sleeps! arghhhhh!
yesterday as i was walking up to grandmas house her neighbor was out...jack i think. and i said hi to him and he said hi, ur the one that works at NU right? and i said no thats my cousin bernadette... and he goes oh. ur the one who just got married? and i said no thats bernadette too. and then i said im sarah, im jeans daughter and he said oh the one with the green van... and i said yea thats my mom.... but i just thought it was cute of him.
jenn- you asked how grandma and grandpa are doing, they are doing really well. grandpas been walking to his room now, instead of using his chair. and on sunday they went for a drive and out to dinner at the applebees in lockport. grandpa walked up and down the stairs by himself!... give the girls a hug and kiss for me! cant wait to see you all!
mark- im glad you left when you did then, wonderful timing! im glad the benefit went well and also that mike is doing better! susan says you dont have to work today...good plan, enjoy your day off!
tricia- i hope your birthday was wonderful! how was the benefit? how are the dogs getting along? is "daves" dog jealous of the new one? give the boys a hug and kiss for me! cant wait to see you all!
bernadette- enjoy your half day today! im sure no one minds the extra people coming... i hope not cuz i was planning on having ron come... i was also planning on not staying the night, unless i cant/ or dont want to drive home... im not big on tents either...
also work is getting alot better... we are getting alot busier since we can serve alcohol now... also they actually had me training a new server on wed... which was really good cuz the girl that trained me was there that night too... so i think they really like me...
well thats all i have today! i hope everyone has a wonderful day! love you all!

Goodnight
Hi everyone.I was at a conference all day and have to be back at 7:30 am (ugh) for special breakfast for directors of counseling centers. Not me yet, but my director is out sick so I am taking his place as assistant director. I am sleeping at my parents so instead of a 35-40 minute drive, I have about 10-12. Its only a half day so thats good.
As for the list that i put on the flyer, i have not gotten over to grandmas since so i had planned to write up a list and see what we think we need and who wants to bring what. That is cool with me about jeff's mom coming.
Question for locals (or anyone that wants to drive in- FL cousins will be here!!).... Anyone every been to Starry night in the garden? its june 25th and tickets are 40$. Vanessa Carlton, Anna Nalick (love them both) and two other artists are perofrming plus there are food and wine vendors (inc in price). I am going and asked kristy and amber if they wanted to since they will be in town. you can buy tickets through 102.5 webpage. Let me know! Website is http://mystar1025.com/Starry-Night-In-The-Garden/444361. starts at 6pm.
Ok, its thundering so i had better shut my paretnts computer down.
Happy Birthday Tricia!!

Thank you!!!!!
Not too much going on today. This morning I went for my dress fitting for my friend's wedding in July. This afternoon I am taking Duke to the groomers and running a few other errands. This evening, my mom is watching the kids and Dave and I are going to a charity event that my friend organized. It is a food and wine sampling so it should be good. Oh and starbucks will be there too! All my favorites!
I just got a flower delivery from my girlfriends! So nice!
Ok, well I have to take Duke now but I will post more later. Thank you again for all the birthday wishes.
Love ya's,
Tricia

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRISH!!!
TRISH- I'm really glad that you have your own dog....Has he hung out with Buddy yet? I hope all is well with dave and the kids...
Jenn- Thanx for your concern and the prayers they are greatly appreciated...it seems like its been one thing after the other...hopefully all the bad is gone....
- I am thinking that i will drive home if i am sober enough and if not i will sleep on a couch...i'm not a tent guy...
Sarah- i got back 1 minute early...it was perfect...told you i had to go then...lol
- regarding mike i think that everything that happened has stopped and that he is fine...he had me worried for a few days, but i think he is fine, so that is great....
- the benefit was awesome...i think about 3 or 400 people showed up...it was a great turn out and both families were very thankful...it was great....
Bernadette - Ro and Bob's family are cool with me...I think if Jeff is coming and his mom wants to come that would be cool to.....I don't think anyone would have beef with that, either....Jeff's mom is great....
- What's the deal with the list? It was on the flyer...keep me posted on that....
I Love All Of You

Happy Birthday Sis!!
Good morning all! How's everyone? Tricia, I hope things are going well so far and that your birthday is a great one! Everyone here is doing fine. Ear infections seem to be on the mend, no more preschool tears, and as usual by Wednesday I'm looking forward to the weekend!!
Sarah, that's cool that you're taking Grandma grocery shopping. How have they been this week? I didn't call yet, but I will tonight or tomorrow probably.
We have been in full summer mode lately and it's been fun. Not that our events are spectacular, but us gals have been enjoying the change from school schedule to summer mode. Knowing that we don't have to get Mia to school, we feel a bit free-er and have liked it. (You know, it's the little things in life....) Yesterday, we got Mia's haircut and she chose to get it short. The last time it was cut was in February when Sarah cut it. It got so long since then!! She got 5 inches off the length yesterday and it's so cute, and much cooler for her. She keeps looking at herself in the mirror. And, Gianna has been in the mirror, too brushing her teeth a million times a day since getting a toothbrush that plays music. She likes Thomas the train and the toothbrush plays the theme song. It's enough to drive me mad!!
As Tricia mentioned, I caught up with her and her friend last Saturday at the movies. It was funny since we both talked about going but not knowing when. I really liked the movie and so did my friend. S&TC was one show that I watched since the day it started and loved it. Mike and I are like that with The Sopranos, too. We still haven't gotten hooked on a show like that one since it's been over. My friend, Beth & I grabbed some dinner and went for a quick drink after the movie and it was great to get out, especially with her. She just moved back home from Maryland. I'm hoping this weekend maybe Tricia and I can get out for a birthday dinner or drink. Then again, if all else fails, we can bbq with the family and enjoy that, too!
Well, I'm off to straighten up around her before we go out after lunch. Got some running to do and I hate coming home to a house that's a mess...(or at least today I hate it. Some days, who cares?!?) Hope everyone has a good day!
Love to you all!!

OH!! Kristy: I've been wondering how the video has been going.

Ropy
As in like a rope. That is what my chiropractor said to me yesterday about my upper neck/back muscles (deltoids?) I used to know all the muscles when I was in PT school but forgot after so long. Anyway, I was like, thanks, real flattering. When I work out a lot those muscles tend to get bigger, and i have many knots in my upper back, so he thinks that is why I get headaches so frequently. He used this neat device on my. It sounds like a small jackhammer... i heard him use it on the person before me and had been wondering what it was. It is hard to describe but it is supposed to stimulate the muscles, tendons, and ligaments, and the feeling it produces is a cross between a tickle and a hurt. I have a headache though this morning, so maybe it did not work so good.
Is anyone going to Chris's fiancee's shower saturday? I might, depending on my editing job. It would be a lot of hours to take away from that if I do go and have a deadline. We'll see. Its 1.5 hours from my house! I feel bad if I don't go because then my mom will drive alone. Susan and Sarah- are you and your mom going? Could my mom get a ride with you if you go and I don't?
Tricia-I think I am going to see Sex next wednesday with a girlfriend. I told her we need to get a cosmo after the show :)
Ok, I need to go work on my next and hopefully last report of the "year" at work. Talk to you all later.

SATC
I did like it but I found a lot of parts predictable. Also, when it ended my friend and I were saying that it was just ok, not great. But when I was thinking about it the next day, I found that I liked it more. Overall, I am glad they made it and I am glad I saw it. I loved the show but I don't like watching it on TBS and I do not have HBO since Sopranos ended so I haven't seen the show in a while. Last night I brought out the DVD's (I have the first few seasons on DVD but not all of them...yet) and started watching season 1 again. I didn't realize that I missed it.
Duke is Cute!
Cute dog, Trish. Congrats! I need to start looking ASAP as my last day of work soon approaches (next friday). Too funny about seeing Jenn at SATC, unplanned. I want to see it soon. Hopefully next week. Did you like it?

Picture
I posted a pic of Duke (its on the left side). If you click it you can get a bigger view. I have a cuter pic on my camera but I haven't downloaded them yet.
Bernadette-I went to OBX once for a week. It was really, really nice. We rented a huge house with three floors and it had a big in ground pool out back. It was brand new at the time and the houses around it were still being built. I enjoyed the quiet and relaxation but there wasn't much to do at night so we ended up staying in most nights and cooking meals at the house. It was actually ten years ago that I was there. I went the day after my 21st birthday and I will be 31 soon (gosh, I am OLD!).

Wow! We are chattier than I thought!
Even though we have some not chatty days, we still are a chatty bunch! Cool!
Sarah (and all) we did get the dog I wanted and I am so in love with him. He is just the cutest, sweetest dog in the world. Ya know, I have always loved dogs but I never really, really liked Libby. I figured it was because I got her after having a child and I just realized that a dog is not a child. But, then we got Duke...this is a dog that doesn't bark (I am starting to wonder if he can bark because he has not barked once), he walks on a leash, he plays fetch and actually drops the ball when he brings it back to you! When we are outside he sits on the porch next to me and just lets me pet him. He is the best. Libby on the other hand, is pure trouble. Unfortunately, Libby is teaching Duke some new tricks like taking toys. The difference is though, that if I say drop it, Duke drops it and Libby does not. Libby has always been "Dave's dog" and now Duke is mine. I think he is just the cutest dog. I am going to attempt to post a picture of him here. Not sure if I know how.
Anyway, Sarah, how is work going? Anything else going on with you lately?
Bernadette--how was vacation? Are you off work for the summer?
Mark--how ya doing?
Susan--where are you? I hope you are not working too hard.
Kristy--have you been running lately? I started walking a lot more and I am hoping to escalate to running soon.
Not much else happening here. The weather has been great so we've been outside a lot. I went to see SATC movie with one of my friends the other night. The movie plays in three different rooms at the theater and one starts every hour. As I was sitting there watching the previews, guess who I saw walk in to the movie? My sister with her friend. It was funny. We ended up asking the other people in our row to move down one and then Jenn and her friend were able to sit with us. It was a funny coincidence.
I have a headache so I am going to get some advil. Bye for now!
Love ya's,
Tricia

I am back
From the outer banks. It was really beautiful. We stayed at a cute house that was nicely furnished and that had a small in ground pool. The weather was great; it only rained once. We hung out with Uncle Norm and his gang most nights, playing games and eating and drinking. They had interesting beer there. Some of them I had ever heard of! Anyone on the blog been to OBX before? Its basically a peninsula between the sound and the Ocean, and many of the houses are 3-stories and huge! I'll have to post some pictures when I am at home. Very nice time. Hard to get up for work this morning. We are on "summer hours" which are M-Ths 8:30-4:30 with a half hour lunch instead of an hour, and F 8:30-noon. Can't really complain. This thursday and friday I will be at UB for a conference that should be pretty good. We have a reception thursday night where they wine and dine us, at least dine us :)
I finished my 20+ page annual report today, and now have to work on my annual performance appraisal. I write it and my boss, the director, reviews it and sends it off to whoever it is supposed to go to. For my mid-year report, he had all good things to say and loved the one I had written for myself, so this should be easy.
I made up a cute flyer for the picnic and asked Josh to bring it to Grandma's. That way people could sign up for what they want to bring. Rumor has it that my aunt Ro (mom's sister) is coming too and offered to bring the hot dogs. I hope everyone is OK with her coming. She is not on the Peters' side but knows almost everyone and comes to family functions now and then. She was at Aunt Deb's wake and funeral, too. Grandpa told me to invite Bob's family, so I think I will just mention it to his parents, grandmother, and sister. They will probably stop in for a little while. Just wanted to give everyone a head's up. Also, what things should we make sure people bring in terms of food/beverages... besides hot dogs. Bob and I will let you know what we will be providing. Probably burgers and beverages... I'll let you know for sure. I am SOOOOO excited for this!
Well, I should get to work. Its good to have Internet access again. I missed everyone. And sadly, I dreamt (just once) about checking my email. My brain was in computer/Internet withdrawal!
