Happy Weekend!

Hi Everyone!
How's things? Everyone here is pretty good. It's been busy, but we're having fun. Today was the last day for Mia's preschool to get together and they had a picnic at the playground. They all had a great time. At the end, Mia said goodbye to her teachers and started to cry while we walked back to the truck. She was so sad knowing it was the last day she'd have those teachers. They were with her last year, too, so it was kind of hard. Mia asked to go back and give them another hug and then the waterworks really started. I even felt a few tears stream down my cheek seeing how sad she was. Ugh, heartbreaking seeing your child cry....this better not happen at the end of each school year.
Sarah: glad that your new job is going well. I'm sure that it'll get even more busy since receiving a liquer license.
Mark: I hope you're doing okay with everything going on with your friends. I couldn't believe your posts when I read how much you've been thru lately. I've been keeping you and your friends in my thoughts. Hope it all gets better each day.
Bernadette: How did your turkey come out last week? Tell Bob he would love it here in our yard. Each Spring, we get at least 2 dozen turkeys that wander around, especially back & forth thru the driveway and the field next to us. The girls love yelling at them out the window and watching them walk in a line back thru the yard. We usually get one group of baby turkeys that are so cute, too. When I lived in the city, I didn't know what wild turkeys looked like! The first time I saw one, I had to ask my dad what it was. They are one ugly bird.
Tricia: Did our family grow one dog bigger today?? or will you bring him home tomorrow? I'm sure you're so happy.

Well, we really wanted to get out to Buffalo for a few weekends now, but there's always something scheduled....birthday parties, last weekend Mia was in a little parade, and this weekend both of the girls have double ear infections. We are just going to see you all at the end of the month. Hey, will most of you be staying at Bernadette's the night of the picnic or driving back to your homes? I ask because we are going to have to book a hotel and I wasn't sure if we should stay near Bernadette's that night or just stay at one place for the nights we're in town. I'm not even sure how many days we are going to stay, but I'm trying to make a plan and book the hotel we like soon.

Okay, I've got some things to do so I better go. Everyone take care and have a good weekend. Love you all!
~jenn

Would I rather be feared or loved?

Easy. Both. Iwant people to be afraid of how much they love me. -Michael Scott

Things have been progressing slowly. My friends, that died in the car accident, benefit is Sunday at 1. If anyone wants to come let me know...

Trish- Thanx for the support. My roommate is doing better. He got an MRI yesterday and they told him they would call if it was anything serious and they didn't call so thats good news....

Gas- I've been driving less aggressively and have been trying to carpool as much as possible...Not much i can do...i have 3 jobs that all require me to drive there. Its just trying to take it easy as best i can.

Where is everyone?

Hey guys and girls,

What is everyone up to? Not too much going on here. I just gave the boys baths and I am getting ready to put them to bed. Then I have freedom!!!! Well, not quite but at least I get to watch what I want on tv!

Well, I had three classes end and now I am down to three. It is so much easier. I do have to prepare a syllabus for a new class I am teaching in the fall. Not just new to me, but new to the college too. It is a humanities class and should be small. I am hoping to take them on a field trip or two. Did anyone take a humanities class (art, music, literature) and have any ideas to share? Or likes and dislikes?

In other news, we might be getting a second dog. Libby, the dog I wanted to get rid of, has improved so much. She calmed down and is turning out to be really great. I think we bonded! Anyway, one of my cousins has been down here a few times with her dog. We put the two dogs in our yard and let them play. Libby did great but more importantly, while the other dog was here, she didn't bark at all. So we have been considering getting her a friend. We have been looking at dogs online for awhile now but waiting for the right time. We went to the humane society over the weekend to check out a few dogs we liked online and I spotted this doggie that wasn't online. He is a yellow lab (Libby is a chocolate lab). He was very sweet and cute. But he was being neutered today so we couldn't bring him home before tomorrow. They also told us that he may need some teeth pulled. When we saw him, Dave thought he was about 4 or 5 years old. The humane society told us he was about 1 or 2. However, when we heard he may need teeth pulled Dave thought he might be older than we thought (Dave was a vet tech for a few years and knows a ton about animals). So we are anxious to see how old the vet estimated him to be and how he is doing. I am hoping that he is anywhere from 1 to 4 and that he didn't need teeth pulled. I'll let you know tomorrow.

Let's have a question of the day...or maybe it can be for the whole week since many don't get to check in daily.

What are you doing to offset the rising price of gas? I am trying to run errands in the most efficient manner. Also, I am trying to cut down our grocery costs to save money. Although that is hard too because grocery costs are rising.

Well, have a good night or a good morning depending on when you read this. Enjoy the weekend!

Love,
Tricia

Jeez...

Mark--jeez, it seems your friends are having a terrible time lately. I'm sorry to hear about each of them. I hope your roommate is doing ok.

Not a whole lot to talk about today but I wanted to throw out a quick hello and to let Mark know I have been thinking about him and his friends.

I have to get some work done but I will stop by tomorrow and write more.

Love,
Tricia

"Smells pretty bad doesn't it?"

....It's called bullcrap. And a client can smell it from a mile away...
Dwight, on Ryan's first sales call

I hope that everyone is doing well...just a couple quick lines....
My roommate Mike, which many of you have met had a aneurysm(i def spelt that wrong) yesterday. He appears to be ok...he went to the hospital and the cat scan gave 95% probability that there is no bleeding on the brain. he is going in this week for an MRI to be certain. So if you can keep him in your thoughts and prayers...Also i'm not sure if he wants me telling anyone so if you do see him try not to bring it up....

Bernadette- I spent my memorial day kinda just hanging out. My sunday was filled with 4 BBQ's all of which were alot of fun...i was in lancaster, depew, west seneca and getzville, right by uncle dave's new house coincidentally...All were a good time and all i left with undefeated streaks...two in bocce ball and the other a start of the night till end of the night beer pong winning streak...good times for sure....

Well I gotta jet

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!!!

Well I am sure everyone had a long weekend, or at least I hope you had at least a day off........ I am working on my fourth day off in a row and loving it. I worked Friday and then don't work again till Wednesday night, I have had a great weekend. Saturday Two friends, Amber and I went to the Alicia Keys concert, which was amazing. We had great seats in the first section about 5 rows up from the floor, we were loving it. Then all of the sudden after the opening acts this guy who works at the forum came up to me and asked how many in my party, I told him 4 and he asked if we wanted to upgrade to the floor. I was hesitant at first cause I know if you are not in the first 10 rows of the floor sometimes the floor seats can suck, but he told me they were right near the stage so we decided to check them out. We could have always gone back to our original seats if we wanted. We got to the seats and we were literally right next to the stage, we were so close to Alicia Keys we could have slapped high fives all night if she would have played along!!!!!!! That was amazing!!!!! Sunday was a big memorial day party at my friend Stef's house, she has one every year and it is usually on memorial day, but her husband had to fly out memorial day early for work so the day had to be switched to Sunday, which I think was ok with everyone. That party is always a great time... Now I am just recovering from my amazing weekend. Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend and I will talk to you all soon. I will see you all soon also. Hey for those of you who don't know, Amber and I fly into Buffalo on Tuesday June 24th early about 11 am and we fly home on Tuesday July 1st at about 5 pm, so it will be party time....... Love you all and miss you lots...........

I am leaving in a little while to drive to the Outer Banks with my parents. We will arrive at our rental house sometime tomorrow and will be staying overnight in VA somewhere tonight. I am excited!

I do not think I will have access to Internet so wanted to post real quick. I hope to have a bunch of entries to catch up on when I get back.

I hope everyone has a beautiful week and wonderful Memorial Day. What is everyone doing??

Ok, I better jump in the shower because my dad wants to leave soon!

Love and Miss,

Happy Friday!

Hello!

We were in Pittsburgh all week. It was a nice time. We got a late start on Sunday when we left because Andrew needed to be seen by the doctor first. He had a double ear infection and I needed to get him antibiotics before we left town. But it worked out well because it was nap time and Dave, Daniel and Andrew slept for a lot of the trip. I got to listen to my music and drive which is enjoyable for me. On Monday I went to Duquesne to visit the man there that helped me prepare for the bar exam. The campus has changed so much. I realized how much I miss the area. Dave and I both would love to move back there but we are concerned about moving the kids away from their only cousins (my sister's girls) and my parents would be heartbroken. However, it would be easy in so many other ways. Dave works for the state so he can transfer and there are more job opportunities for me. But for now we just settled on visiting more often.
We also visited friends, saw Dave's family, went to the zoo, and went to our favorite malls and restaurants. A good time.

Now we're home and I am playing catch up on my work and housework. I'm moving along though.

Sarah--I think you have the right to know the resolution of the dispute.

Kristy--I mailed the pictures to you the other day. Did you get them yet? If not, they should be there soon.

I have to go back and read the posts again to see what else I wanted to say. I'll be back soon!

Love,
Tricia

I don't get why parents are always complaining about how tough it is to raise kids....

You just have to joke around with them, give them pizza, give them candy, let them live their lives, they're adults for God's sake.
-Michael Scott

That's a funny quote. I think our child rearing cousin will get a kick out of that one.

Uncle Dave, Grace and I went to Kyoto for sushi yesterday and we all liked it alot. It was really good and really fresh. Its a really nice looking place in there to, so we'll all have to hit it up sometime for sure...fridays are always good nights for me just to keep it in mind for our group visit...

So it appears to be raining shit on my friends. One of my friends ex girlfriends died on Monday. she had a seizure, fell down, and died. She left a two year old boy behind, which is really sad. So this is the fourth friend of mine that has died in 6 weeks thats under the age of 25. I'm not sure whats happening, but its really freaking me out...

Susan & Sarah- i tried to wake up in time to go with you 2 to breakfast, but i just couldn't pull myself out of bed...it was the worst...I hope you had a good time...I will try and make it one of these times. I don't know why you can't get ready beforehand and meet at 6:45, but its not my gig and not my place to talk...lol....

Bernadette- How did you make that broccoli slaw?? It sounds really good, it combines one of my favorite vegetables with a slaw...mmmmmmm....I'm sure the meal turned out great...

Well I gotta jet,
I Love All Of You,
Mark

helloooooooooo out there

I am here Sarah. I passed Kyoto yesterday. I ate at Jasmine's with a friend and then we went to Olive Garden to see my friend who works there. What ever happened to the cousins getting together to go to dinner there?? It looked fairly busy when I drove by around 8:30.

I have been working on our annual report all morning up until about 10 minutes ago. I am tired today. Bob wakes up early and I almost always (I think with the exception of once since September!) wake up too and this morning could not fall back asleep so I have been struggling all day at work. Luckily, I am leaving around 2:30 so just one more hour to go.

Tonight is the big night- I am cooking for the first time for my in-laws, and my first turkey! I hope I can catch a nap before they all come over, and before i cook for that matter, but its looking doubtful since i still need to go to tops on my way home from work. lucky me. I think it will turn out delectable though. I am making turkey with stuffing, broccoli slaw, salad, possibly mashed pot's, and some kind of vegetable, probably creamed corn (the latter two are not from scratch, admittedly). lol..should be manageable though!

Well, I got to run. Hope everyone is doing well.

Bernadette

where is everyone????

well anyways good morning cousins! well here i am, with cooper watching tv drinking my coffee.

well i called the unemployment office (the lady was a complete b*tch) and i dont think im gonna get the money for when i was off of work, but thats ok...it was just one week, not even. and i called human resources again and was questioning why noboday was asked anything and that matt guy was a complete jerk too! he said that i couldnt know who they talked to, but they did investigate and then i said i know you didnt talk to anybody and he just said that the same thing again. so i guess im done trying to fight corporate... but at least i tried.

so thats about all i have to write about... hope everyone is doing well!
love you all!

Dr. Allen Grant is my Hero....

Hey

It was good to see a few of you at grandma's on Sunday...Glad you could make it those of you that did....

Bernadette- Josh, my dad, sarah, susan, and uncle dave all tried the water and it has pretty cool effects. it gives you more flexibility and strength when you drink it. it has extra oxygen molecules molecularly bound to it which brings more elasticity to your muscles. i link it to the effect that football players get from breathing in the O2 masks on the sidelines at football games. that effect lasts for 10-15 minutes. the effect of the water lasts 3-5 hours... you can find out more about it at my website. www.marksemarket.com

its Mark's mom that has cancer and his girlfriend was in the passenger seat when they crashed. both died. there is a benefit on JUNE 1 hopefully some can make it...call me for details...

I'm out I Love All Of You,
Mark

happy monday!

well good morning all! here i am just chilling with cooper, watching tv, waiting for my coffee to brew... well i have to work all day today, which sucks because its going to be slow! but maybe they will let me leave early, like last week.

how was everybodys weekend? mine was ok, i worked and had to hilite my other cousin jens hair yesterday... other than that...nothing much.

i did get all my errands done last thursday... i think tricia asked. i just have to call the unemployment office, (they called me) and i have to call human resources again, cuz the guy was out until monday! so thats about it!

well i miss you all! hope everyone has a great monday!

Bob's a Turkey- Susan- Don't Read!

LOL. Ok, not actually, but he got a 15 pound turkey this morning. Came in and woke me around 8am to show it to me (he kept it, thankfully, outside). Supposedly its a "prize Tom" based on the size of its beard, meaning its been around a while. SO basically Bob shot an elderly turkey! I am going to attempt to cook it and stuff it too, which will be a first for me. Anyone have any suggestions or tips (hint hint, Mark, Tricia Jenn) let me know. I probably won't cook it until wednesday.

Anyway, just wanted to share that with you. He is so excited!

Don't Drink the Water -DMB

OK, I must have missed a blog or two because I keep hearing about this water that is supposedly perfect and have not a clue what you are talking about so please Mark or someone- fill me in!

Mark- I did hear about those people getting killed on transit. That poor family. So Mark is one of the people that got killed and it is his mother with the cancers? Wow. That is horrible. And was it his girlfriend that was with him in the car??

As for the picnic, I will hopefully make a sign up sheet soon and bring to grandmas and we can call/email the out of towners. How about setting a noonish start time? I assume everyone would not get there at that time but that way if people get into town that morning or something, they can come for lunch to. Bob thinks we'll just be out grilling food all day so people can eat lunch, dinner, snacks... all that good stuff. Don't forget the tent out that night for those of you who would like to spend the night! That way we can drink, have campfires....and all that good stuff and not have to worry about people driving home from "God's country"

Trish- thanks for the correct link. I did try the first one and it did not work and then i forgot to ask you abuot it. that is a great site! I found some cute dogs. When I get back fro Outer banks i can really start looking.

Bob and I were going to go to his camp all weekend in the s tier but because it was a 90% chance of rain all day today we stayed so tonight we are going to the dinner/ silent action fundraiser thing my mom was trying to recruit everyone for. It should be fun. Uncle David and Grace, AUnt Jean and Uncle Dave, Erin and her bf will all be there. Maybe I'll win a bid a nice basket! Last silent acution i went to i "won" three bids and spent more money that i thought i would. oh well.

Ok, i had better see what bob is up to in the yard before the storm comes. THere are some dark clouds coming this way! yuck.

Love to you all!

Bernadette

It really is Perfect!!!

The water is super cool, and there are all sorts of health products on there as well...i'll do a demonstration on the water at the reunion for those interested... There are also alot of links to websites you can get discounts at. like if you go to mine first and then follow the link to circuit city you get like a 10% discount off of their online store...lots fo cool things for sure....

Sarah- I miss you to...

trisha- cool that your guy came. These jobs will really help you get your foot in the door and get used to the Law...You're going to be a great lawyer and the things you can learn from other lawyers will really be beneficial to your career.

Bernadette- box wine is bad...lake niagara box wine, however, is delicious...i have some in my fridgerator right now...mmmmm....what are you going to want people to bring for the picnic? food/drink wise...
- and you gotta go for the dog you love....thats the one you want.....play with as many as you can, you'll know the one you should get....

jenn- it was billy's brother chris that shattered his leg....hope the girls aren't giving you too much trouble...
- cinco de mayo is a mexican holiday, so they may not celebrate it in spain. it is the celebration of the battle of el pueblo which i believe, is the battle that gained Mexico their independence from Spain, so they may not be too thrilled about it...much like the way the germans probably don't celebrate the end of WWII. lol....

Some rough news from your boy Marky Mark
Not sure how many of you heard of the accident that happened on Transit Rd where a man and woman were killed in a car accident in a Ford Mustang, but the man Mark Harhigh, was a friend of mine and he was actually my roommate Mikes best friend. they grew up together and he's been struggling. I think that alot of you met mike at the slumber party and i just want you to keep Mike, Marks Family and Melanie (Marks girlfriend) in your thoughts and prayers. If any of you are available for a benefit on June 1 in Lancaster let me know...Tickets are $20 and will go to Marks family. His mother is battling Lung and Brain cancer and their family can really use the help.

Well I gotta Jet,
I Love All Of You,
Mark

Hello all!

I just wanted to pop in and say hello. I am trying to finish up on some essays that need to be corrected. I have to have final grades in by Sunday. I also have two other classes that need to have some assignments corrected in and a new class that starts on Monday that I have to prepare for. AND we are heading out of town next week. I haven't packed us or anything yet but I still have time for that. First things first, 5 more essays to correct.

Susan--enjoy your walk and lunch. It sounds great!

Sarah--did you get all your errands done yesterday? I try to do errands all in one day so I am not running around everyday.

I hope everyone is well! Have a great weekend!

Love,
Tricia

Hey!!

Hi everyone!! So the blog has been pretty boring lately huh? I guess I will have to take part of the blame for that!! So anyways, how is everyone? Hopefully good! I am doing alright, just working, well obviously not at the moment! I have been kind of a slacker all week, I am just not in the mood! haha
I have a wedding to go to tomorrow for one of the girls at the restaurant I work at, it should be a lot of fun..we are having a Buffalo Transporation van drive us there and pick us up for only like $30/couple (3 couples), not bad huh? So now I can drink as much as I want without having to worry, which normally is not possible becuase I almost always volunteer to be the driver. So I am excited about that part! We don't know if it is a WeCare van though...how funny would that be?! Oh and it is nice because the one waitress's husband is goignt o be gone all weekend so she is taking Georgie with her as her date so he can be by all the girls..isn't that so cute?? He was very excited when she asked!
I have been going on my lunch to Delaware Park this week and walking the loop...it's nice and peaceful!! Today I think I am going to pick up a sub from JustPizza before me walk. Tricia and Bern might like the veggie sub that I get there, it has lettuce, onions, tomatoes, artichokes, and sweet peppers and their sub oil is amazing! I don't get cheese or mushrooms on it, but it comes with them if that makes it even more appetizing to yuo guys!!
I am also going to try to call Lauren during my lunch. We were emailing back and forth yesterday, and I tried to call her on my way to work this morning, but she must've been out of the house. I will udpate everyone once I hear from her. The only things I know right now are that she is doing well, and they are still in the process of getting the building for their cafe, it's a very slow-moving process I guess. Oh and she doesn't have her ticket yet for next month but is definitely planning on coming in.
Well, I think I might order my sub now and head out. I hope everybody has a great day!
Love you,
Susan

Hey y'all!! Remember Me?!?

Hi Everybody! It's been a while, I know. I can honestly tell you that we've been doing so many things that I haven't sat at the computer longer than a few minutes every few days or so. I was catching up reading everyone's posts and it seems like everyone is doing well. That's great! I am SOOO looking forward to the picnic in June to see everyone.

Well, since I should be practicing piano but would rather type a quick hello, let me fill you in on what's been keeping us so busy. Where to begin??? ...Baseball, field trips, bake sales, piano, allergies, kindergarten readiness books, laundry (loads of laundry!), finding curtains (such a pain!), loose teeth, amusement parks, birthdays (Gianna's is Saturday!), book sales, exercising, and yesterday Gianna was sick and Mike came home with a cold. So, Mia and I are trying to stay away from their germs!! The kids have been so busy that when we stay home, they just play and don't even bother me lately. Right now, they're inside pretending to be on a nature hike and I can hear them shouting out "look at those nice flowers. Look at the caterpillar (or as Gianna says "cap-ah-tiller".)
That's great that Billy and Jennifer had a baby girl! How has his ankle (or is it his foot?) that he hurt?
Has anyone heard from Lauren? Lauren, do you read this? I was thinking about her on Mother's Day and on Cinco de Mayo. I bet there were big celebrations on May 5th where she is.
Mark: I checked out your online store. Looks cool. I'd love to try the "super water" you mentioned. What's that all about?
Bernadette: Enjoy the time off you have this week. Hope all is going well with your house.
Sarah: I've been keeping up with your new job news and it seems awesome! I have never had food from our Kyoto, but Tricia likes it there. I'm so picky about what I eat the I assume I wouldn't like it....but, never assume they say. Maybe I will sometime!
Susan: Glad your days have been easier! Isn't it funny how it takes crazy, stressful days to make you enjoy just your normal, everyday things? I sometimes have to sit myself down and just breathe!! It always feels so good.
Tricia: Let us know how your neighbor's baby is. That's scary what happened to him.

Well, Gianna is yelling at Mia so she must be feeling better today. Gianna is going thru the stage of not wanting to share, everything is hers, it's her way or no way and she thinks she can do whatever she wants. Yeah, really fun!! Anyone want to borrow my almost 3 year old??....how about for a few years???

love you all!! say hi to your families from us!
love~jenn

Doggies

Bernadette--as for the baby, he is just a big boy. Usually when babies are so big, they tend to not a have a growth spurt later on and then they even out with other kids their age. Andrew is pretty average size and Daniel is a little on the small side, although not by much.

As for dogs, I would suggest doing what you said and just finding the right dog by personality. When you go to the SPCA you can play with the dogs there, take them for walks, etc. Find one you love and get him/her. Purebreds are fine but it is cheaper to go through the SPCA and you never know if a purebred is coming out of a puppy mill. Also, each type of dog has its own set of problems and often when you get a mix, you get all the good qualities and less of the bad (such as health problems). Are you familiar with the website for pets? It is http://findpets.org/
You can look by breed, location, size, age etc. You can see pictures of dogs at different SPCA's in your area and get an idea of where there might be a dog looking for a home.

Dave took our car to the dealership at 8am. They told him the other day it would take only about an hour. He's been there over 2 and a half. I told him before he left that I should follow him there and drive him home but he said he would wait there. Now he's been gone all morning. Grr...

Tricia

Vegan

Hi there everyone.

Tricia- that is scary about your neighbor's baby. Why is he so large? Is he obese because of diet or does he have a medical condition? Poor thing.

Billy and Jennifer had their baby yesterday! I only know because of Marybeth's away message but I am assuming mom and baby are well. Her name is Molly Grace. Too cute.

Susan- I might go out for vegan today! It depends on the weather. If it stays nice, we are going to the vegan place because they have a nice patio. Its in Lewiston and called hte oRange cafe or something... If it rains we are going to another place called Mangia Cakes, I think. Anyway, either should be good!

Ok, as far as the dog situation, I think I may just get a mix breed because I keep hearing bad things re: health probelms with purebreds... any thoughts anyone? I may just go to the SPCA in June and take home the one I fall in love with :)

Ok, back to work for me.

Bernadette

PA representing today!

Good morning!

Kristy-I'm getting photos ready for you today. I'll mail them out ASAP and you should have them by the weekend, Monday at the latest.

Bernadette--I still haven't chosen our wedding pics for a wedding album yet. I have all the photos are photographer took but I never made them into an album because Dave left so soon after our wedding. Now, going on 5 years later, they are still just sitting here. I should get to that someday!

Sarah--any news on the investigation?

Nothing too exciting happening here. I've been correcting essay papers for days now because I had three classes end and I need to get the grades submitted by Sunday. However, if I want to make the next payday cut, I need to have them in by tomorrow. I also had in service yesterday for work. The days have been packed. On top of that, Daniel and Dave were both sick last week. Andrew may have had a slight cold too. He just had a runny nose which could be a cold or just teething. I managed to stay healthy, thankfully.

Our neighbors had to take their baby to the hospital by ambulance on Monday. The dad was holding him and he saw his eyes roll back and then baby went limp. They came home last night with the baby so I guess he is ok but we haven't talked to them yet. The baby is the same age as Andrew and twice his size. The baby weighs over 40 pounds. Daniel only weighs about 30 and Andrew weighs around 23 pounds. Their baby is 14 months and over 40 pounds. He's huge!

I have to get some work done. I'll talk to you all later! Have a good day!

Love,
Tricia

Greetings from Niagara!

Hi wonderful cousins.

I was off yesterday and didn't blog. I spent hours finalizing the wedding photos for our album. I had to chhose around 120 photos from over 800, so it took me hours. We had the Oil company at our house almost all day putting in a furnace so we can heat the upstairs so I was homebound until about 4:15 at which point I ran (almost literally) out to my car to go to the store, I was so happy to leave! Anyway, I have a lot of vaca time to use so I took a half day thursday and all day friday and next monday so it will be a long weekend for me which i am excited for. Bob and I plan to go to Wellsville so he can hunt this weekend, depending on the weather, and then we have Annaleha's third birthday party which should be fun. I also recently began my second editing project and am waiting for feedback from my boss before I can proceed. The dissertation is 249 pages long but luckily I only have to edit 102 pages or so since about half of it are appendices and we don't edit those, thankfully. The author's first language is most likely not english so there were so many mistakes I felt like I was practically rewriting his dissertation so I am waiting to see how my boss tells me to proceed. It is due on saturday so depending on how fast I work once I get it back dictates if I go with Bob or not this weekend. I hope so since I won't see him Memorial day week because i will be in the outer banks.

Anyway, speaking of editing, that was a very long paragraph!

Susan- since I was homebound for most of the day I did not get the chance to go to the SPCA. I noticed a sign on someone's front lawn that says "Pet Stop." Do you know what that means? I am going to lunch with a work friend tomorrow and her mom knows a foster person for retrievers in Lockport so I will ask her for her contact information so I can check those out soon.

Today is a university wide employee party with good food and booze. It should be fun and also means I can leave a little early since it begins at 3 and I don't plan to stay until 5, but you never know. They do this every semester and last semester I left around 4:30. The food is usually really good.

To my wine drinking cousins- I ordered a glass of Lake Niagara when Bob and i were out to dinner last week at a restaurant in Lockport and thought of a bunch of us drinking it out of a box :)

Well, I should get some work done before my lunch break.

Oh, Kristy and Amber. I emailed you southwest ticket prices that I found this morning. Not great but not terrible either. Hopefully they go down some before you decide to buy them. I'll keep looking.

Love,
Bernadette

Hello All Florida Representing..............

Sorry I have not been representing lately. Sarah and Jenn thanks for getting those pics out for me hopefully I will have enough to get this party started.

The Picnic I think we can start whenever is good for everyone, we don't all have to get there at the same time, so if we start at 11 or 12 or whenever, everyone just come when you can. Although that might not be good either cause we should set a time we need to have all the food there. We also need to figure out who is bringing what food and drinks, so we can have enough for everyone.

Well I am at work so I better go, Love you all and miss you sooooooooo much.

Kristy

p.s. Tricia congrats and call me after B&S Sunday, wait I don't watch till Monday so don't call I will call you or send a text.

just hanging out with cooper!

good morning cousins! well here i am hanging out with cooper before i have to go to work...

tricia- the guy from human resources said that i couldnt know anything because of dans privacy rights... but i had said that i dont care about what happens to him, that i just wanted to know if i was harassed or not... but he still said that i couldnt know... he said that they were grateful that i came forward and that the situation would be addressed after they investigated... but none of the witnesses in any of the situations have been asked anything... so i may call back on monday and ask about that...why wasnt anybody questioned on anything that i said? i just feel as though nothing is being done about it at all...and thats not right.

bernadette- 11 maybe too early, only because you live like a half an hour away from all of us. maybe 12 or 1 would be better...but thats just my opinion...if everybody wants it to start at 11 ill be there.

well thats about it! have a great weekend everyone!!! love you!

Friday!

Tricia- wow! that is great about your sponsor for the swearing in ceremony and your new job prospects! It seems like everything is coming together for you very well. Congrats again! Did you mom go to your ceremony? You did not mention her so I was wondering...

So what do people think about the picnic start time? Is 11am too early for most people?

Today, so far, has been s-l-o-w. I am about to go to the gym. Then I only have one client scheduled for the afternoon.... I am glad I took off monday. I would have nothing scheduled. I have to talk to one of my editing bosses that morning and then I am thinking about taking a trip to the SPCA to look at available dogs... we'll see.

Well, that is all I have. Trish- congrats again on everything!!

See local cousins at Grandma's sunday!

Bernadette

Happy Friday!

Hello!

I have a few things to tell you guys. First I wanted to tell you about the swearing-in ceremony. After passing the exam, I had to complete paperwork to mail in to the Supreme Court to actually get admitted to the bar. There is a section on the paper to have another attorney sign as your sponsor but it is optional. If they do sign, their name will appear on your certificate and you also have the option of having them attend the swearing in ceremony as your sponsor. If they attend the ceremony, that person will motion the court for your admittance rather than the prothonotary (its more personal because they get to do a short speech rather than the prothonotary just saying your name).

I wasn't planning on having a sponsor but I had mentioned to Dave that if I was to ask anyone it would be a guy who helped me when I was a college intern, however having not talked to him in a few years I didn't think I would. I interned in our DA's office and there you can easily get lost in the shuffle and remain anonymous or you can try to get involved in things. Well, on one of my first days, I was asked to do filing, which I hate so I went into the one office where some attorneys were and asked if anyone needed help. My now friend, George (I didn't know him at the time), said follow me. So I did and he told me that every time I come in just go right to him. So, I did and I basically got to shadow him all day on the days I was there. He took me into the judges chambers, on any trips he went on, etc. It was great because I really saw what they did. He also taught me the basics of legal research (I wasn't on the path to law school yet). So, anyway, when I was filling out my forms, Dave encouraged me to ask him to be my sponsor, so I did, by email (I'm a coward), and he said he would be happy to sign my paper as my sponsor and invited me to lunch. We went to lunch, he signed my paper and said that he would like to come to the ceremony (in Philadelphia) as long as he could arrange his schedule to be off. I didn't even ask him to come because I figured he would be busy. I told him he didn't have to come and he said he knew that but that he really wanted to come. And he did! I was so excited. He met Dave, my dad, and I at the ceremony, he said a few nice words about me in his motion to the Chief Justice and now I am a member of the PA Bar. Afterwards, we all went to lunch. It was a great day and I was thrilled that he made it so special. He has been the person I consider my mentor since college so this was just perfect.
In addition to that, he asked me if I wanted to do some legal research for him from time to time if I don't get a full time job (which I don't think I want right now). I said sure! I thought it was a great way to ease back into the field. Turns out he hates research but loves the courtroom and I am the opposite. I love research and writing but I am scared to get into the courtroom right now. I hope he does give me work to do because once I feel I want to be in the courtroom, he may let me handle some cases.

So that is that. In other news, I had the boys on a waiting list at this daycare/preschool nearby. I got a call that they can start in the fall part time. Works out perfectly because they'll go when I am teaching which means Dave won't have to attend his trainings late. When I found this out, I volunteered to do an additional section of class and was told I could so now I have 7 credits to teach this fall at the college here.

Also, Dave has a friend at work who has a friend who is an attorney. I guess he told him about me just passing the bar and the attorney said for me to call him. I did and he wanted to know what I was interested in as far as working so I told him right now, I would like a part time position that can maybe become full time later. He had me email him my resume and he said he would contact his friends that practice family law and criminal law (the areas I like) to let them know I am looking. He also called me after reviewing my resume and suggested a few changes. I ended up completely revising my resume and now it looks so much more professional. I also made sure to do the things he suggested. I used a website that had sample attorney resumes to get an idea of what format to use. It looks a lot better. I had been using the same format since college and this new one is more modern and more professioanl. I sent that off to him last night. Hopefully he likes it too.

Lastly, I bought a car part for my dad on ebay and never received it. The seller will not return my emails or phone calls. I wrote him a final time last night telling him if he does not respond I will file a report with ebay and paypal. I paid for it the same day I won it, a month ago. I'm getting frustrated.

Well, I think I just caught you guys up on everything going on here! :-)

Sarah--Did he give you a reason as to why he could not tell you? I would think that you would be entitled to know, at a minimum, if it was resolved, i.e. the status of it. They may not be able to tell you what happened to Dan (if anything) because of his privacy rights.

Mark--thank you! You did mention that John Lee said congrats. Please tell him thank you for me. I hadn't seen him in years (since I was a kid) but when I saw him last fall, he and his wife were both so nice. I really enjoyed talking to them both.

Hmmm...what else? I don't know what else I wanted to say. I probably wrote enough to take up the entire front page of the blog so I guess I will go! I hope everyone has a great day!

Love ya's,
Tricia

kristy- im sending you those pictures today...when i go to grandmas later im going to find some of uncles bobby's family because stephanie didnt get any pictures to me...sorry this has taken so long!

picnic

11am is way too early for me...its like a 40 minute drive from my place i think...i guess it doesn't really matter what time it starts, more when people will show up...i'm guessing i'll be there around 1 or 2...11 would be too early for me to be awake up and at your place i think...saturday is my only day of the week to sleep in, so i have to use it...but i will be there no matter what...

Mark

Almost friday!

Hi everybody.

Tricia- thanks for representing PA :) FL is still slacking....

Sarah- where is Kyoto located again?

Well, today is relatively slow and we have a luncheon for the end of the year that will take up about 1.5 hours and then I have one client in the afteroon, possilby two, and one that should be here any minute. The interview yesterday went well and we offered him a practicum position beginning in the fall, which he just accepted. It will be nice to supervise someone from my program, so I am looking forward to it.

Bob has his first softball game tonight that i will be going to. Hope the weather holds. We went out to dinner at the Fieldstone in Lokcport last night and it was very good. all dinners come with a salad and soup bar and I am all about that! Pretty reasonably priced too.

Tricia- I think it was you who asked about the start time for the picnic. What does everyone think? We haven't set up a time yet but I was thinking around 11 or so... we can vote! Also, we will be having a sleep out and campfire for those interested!

So my 3 year old neice fell last night and connie had to take her to the hosp for stiches in her ear. I have yet to hear how this happened but I think she is all right. Poor lil kid...

well, my client should be here any minute. Have great days everyone!

Well enough of that....

Sarah- I'm glad that you are enjoying your job...I'm really happy that they are busy to, as soon as that liquor license comes in be sure to give me a text or a phone call! Get that money girl!

Florida- Where you at?

Bernadette- Thats really cool that you get to interview someone in the same program that you were in...do you know that person? if so, would that make you bias and not be able to do the interview?

Trish- We are soo proud of you!! Congrats again!!! Not sure if i told you already, but John Lee told me to tell you Congrats as well....

Well I gotta Jet,
I Love All Of You,

Good morning!

Hello,

I just wanted to stop in and say hello briefly. Not too much going on. I attended the swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday in Philadelphia. It was a great day but I will have to come back later with details. I have to go for groceries soon and I am not dressed yet. I also haven't eaten yet and my stomach is not happy with me about that!

I'll be back later! Just wanted to represent..lol..

I am here!

Hi cousins!

Susan- you are right...things have been busy for me. Now that my first editing job is officially done (thank GOD), I have an annual report for the counseling center that i am in charge of so that keeps me busy along with my clients which are dwindling down. Actually, today I spent a lot of time spending money! We have around $400 left in our budget that if we did not spend this week, we would lose, so I spent it on psych books and other materials (i know, you can call me a nerd, but i am excited about them!) It took longer than I anticipated to find things that will be useful for training, presentations, and professional development, but someone had to do it, and i did it :) Good times. We have an end of year luncheon tomorrow which will be nice. i get good food for free and don't have to pack a lunch!

The director and i will be interviewing a possible student from UB (my program) to do his practicuum here next year. I hope it goes well. It would be nice to supervise someone from the same program that I graduated from. We'll see how the interview goes. It is only between him and another student that goes here that Tom and I were not too impressed with.

Well, I had better get some work done because after the interview it will be 5pm and time to get out of here!

I hope there is more chatter on the blog soon. PA and FL need to represent!! Us B-lo cousins are pulling your slack...don't worry.

JK.

Hugs
Bernadette

Hey!

Hi everyone!! How's it going?
Sarah, I did feel bad for you when I saw there was only your post from yesterday, I know you enjoy reading the ones you missed in the morning!! What time do you start work today if you are getting out at 6? Are you working lunch or something? We want to come in and visit you soon, but we are kind of waiting for the liquor license! haha Know when that is coming?
I have been in such a good mood lately, for no reason in particular, but it feels great!! Maybe I am mistaking good mood for lack of stress and pressure!! haha Well, whatever it is, I hope it stays with me!!
Tricia, how's the last couple weeks going? I am sure you are super stressed, I hope it goes by quickly for you!
Jenn, I haven't seen a post from you in awhile...I hope the girls aren't driving you too wild!! Any plans for a trip up to Buffalo soon?
Bern, work must be pretty busy for you lately as well because you haven't been around as much as normal either. How are your parents doing in NC?
Kristy, have you been keeping up with the running still? How much do you run a day? I wish I had your endurance and motivation! Have you gotten any more pictures for the video besides the ones from Bern? Sarah has all ours, she worked so hard on finding them, I think she said she is sending them this week?
Sarah, I already addressed you above, but I have one more thing that you will think is funny...I don't know what I did to it, but I screwed up my knee somehow yesterday...it has been killing me since the end of work yesterday...I can barely make it up and down the stairs!! What is wrong with me?!! haha
Alright, well I addressed everybody who posts, and I have been talking to Mark by email all morning so I really don't have much else to say to him on here! Sorry Marky!
Well, I hope everybody has a great day!
Love you,
Susan

I hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine was fun, but it went way too quickly...which is not exactly what we are looking for. I can't believe how few people actually know that Chris is getting married...I'm hoping at least some of our out-of-town family will be able to make it...It should be a good time...

Trish- Blue hair would be way worse than orange, so don't worry about your ceremony...It will be fine...it doesn't matter whats on your head, but whats in it...

Well I gotta jet,
I Love All Of You,
Mark

Good morning!

Hi all,

How's the weekend? I didn't do much except correct papers and calculate final grades. Two more weeks and my schedule will be better.

Hair update--my hair is still orange/red. It did darken some after being washed a few times. I am going back to get a brown color added but not until Thursday. That means I am going to my swearing-in ceremony with orange hair. Oh well!

Sarah--I am so happy you like your job. We have a Japanese restaurant here called Kyoto. Its a great place, Dave and I love it.

Susan--how was your first weekend waitressing again? Were you happy to be back?

Bernadette--that is funny that you randomly met Ron's mom. What does she do at the school? For the reunion, are we doing a sign up sheet for what food we should bring? Also, what time will the reunion start on Saturday? We are trying to decide if we will come out on Friday or come out Saturday morning. Dave isn't off on Friday so we have to see.

Mark--Chris is getting married? I didn't know that. I'm in a wedding on July 12. It seems to be a popular date for weddings.

Kristy--we must talk about B&S soon!!!! Did you watch it last night?

Ok, I have to get some things done. Talk to you later!

Love,
Tricia

Ron's Mom

Sarah- I forgot to post this yesterday. I met Ron's mom at work. I was in the Pilates class I take on fridays and we have a sign in sheet and she signs in after me and was like, so you're Sarah's cousin that just got married! LOL.... turns out, we have been in the same Pilates class for awhile now on fridays. Small world. She seems nice.

Ok, gotta run!

bernadette

we tried to find a week that i could take time off at, but it wasn't conducive to the time lauren would have been in. I'm not too worried about it, i'm not going to work the call center for the week or so our cousins will be in town...the weekend that was good for me was the end of August, but i don't think that it worked with anyone else...it will be ok, cuz i'll have the whole weekend off...Thanks for looking out though...
Mark

HELLO!

Yay. its almost 5 on friday. Its beena busy few days for me with this editing BS. I think I am about done though, which is fantastic. I just sent it to my boss with questions so we'll see if there is anything else I need to do.

Tricia- I am sorry about how your hair turned out! I hope she can fix it. I had orange hair once...pumpkin I was called :) lol... good times...

Susan- Bob is camping all weekend too. What are you doing? I am staying at my parents and kind of want to go out if I have the energy. Nothing crazy, maybe brennans or something. call me if you want to go out ;) (and any othr locals)....

Sarah- I am glad to hear that you got a job and that it is going better than u intially thought. I think I am going to get that hair straightener tomorrow.

Kristy- glad to hear you and amber are coming in for a week!!

Mark- I thought we chose the week you could take some time off. I forgot why we couldn't do the week yuo wanted...maybe because of Lauren? Last she emailed, she was not sure if she could come in then but is trying to. I guess her Dad's side is having a reunion in July sometime...

Well, I should get a little more work done before I hit the road.

Happy weekend everyone!

I hope that we are all doing well...Chris' wedding is July 12th...I'm not sure if everyone knew...i talked to Vinny the other day and he said, "Chris' getting married?" lol....So we gotta keep everyone in the know...

Sarah- I'm glad that you like it there, cuz i can't wait to eat there...lol...I'm hungry for some hibachi baby....

Susan- thanx for all the tax advice...Go Bills

Trish- don't fret about the orange hair, it could be green or blue, that would be way worse...

well i gotta jet,
I Love All Of You,
Mark

Kind of disappointing huh?

No posts besides Sarah's from this morning? How boring! I hope everybody is having a good day, I am despite this gross rain here. Let me guess: sunny, hot, and beautiful in Clearwater today right? haha
So Jeff is going camping all weekend, there's this thing called the Regatta near Jamestown, and it's basically tent camping tonight and tomorrow night, and tomorrow is a 10 hour canoe race down this river with beer tents along the way to stop at...That makes me kind of nervous though, getting drunk while canoeing? Probably not too safe right? He is coming home on Sunday, just in time for my DziaDzia's 89th birthday party!! haha I am sure he will be too tired to go there.
Well, I just let this post sit here for like 45 minutes, so I lost my train of thought now and will get going! I hope everybody has a great weekend!!

Love you,
Susan

good morning!

Susan--I would say go with highlights for the summer and then if you want to dye it black, maybe do that in the winter. Although, I thought highlights were a good idea for me too and that didn't turn out so well. lol....
Re: waitressing, at least you'll get to see your friend George!

Sarah--thanks for the advice. I called her after I read your post and left a message. I don't think she will be mad but she may think I am a pain in the butt.

I need to get groceries so I am going to get dressed.

Love,
Tricia

Sounded odd...

When I said my comment was gay and then speaking of Sarah, I didn't mean to make it sound like she was gay..haha my mistake--- Sorry Sarah!

Goodmorning!

Hi!! How is everyone?? I am doing alright here, just working, only to 5..how nice!! haha

So I go back to waitressing this weekend...only Saturdays. But I am not excited about working every Saturday all summer, so I am trying to get at least one off a month so I don't have to work as much.....I think it might be possible!

Tricia, I am sorry about your hair..I hope it turns out alright after she fixes it! I guess your hairdresser isn't as good as mine (her name is Sarah). haha sorry, that was gay....speaking of Sarah, I am hoping to have her highlight my hair and cut it soon. We are never home at the same time so it is so hard to get it done. Actually guys, help me out, should I put lighter brown highlights in my hair or dye it black? I am torn between the 2...I haven't put any color in my hair for at least a year and a half, and I used to dye it black all the time, but I was thinking of highlights for the summer, but who knows? So you guys tell me what to do!!

Well I should get back to work now because my co-worker just walked by and saw me not working haha But I will talk to you all soon!

Love you,
Susan

orange hair....arrrgh!!!!!

good morning cousins! well here i am with cooper watching tv...i wish i had a cup of coffee! oh well it wont be much longer. my car goes into the shop today! hopefully it is covered under warranty!

so my new job was really shitty yesterday but then ended up alot better. well as we all know, i thought that everyone was japanese but in reality they are chinese...i guess i just assumed because its a japanese resturant... well during the day, i went into work to clean again...and it was me and everyone speaking chinese around me... which is very upsetting. at about 2, i was asked to come back at 4 for training. well i went to go visit grandma! which helped the bad mood (obviously) well when i went back, there were four more servers ( that are american ) one of which worked at shogun and was going to be training those of us who have not worked in a japanese resturant before. so today and tomorrow i am going to be going in the shadow someone who has worked in a hibachi resturant before! but i like it alot more now, because there are people who can talk to me! and understand how im feeling about the chinese talk! so hopefully it stays like this and i will actually like it!

tricia- if your hair is orange then she left in on too long for your chocolate brown hilites. she didnt leave it on long enough for it to turn blonde so then she could color it the brown color that you wanted. i would call her and tell her you dont like it and you want it fixed, its too lite and its not what you asked for. she can put more product on to "bleach out" the rest of the color on those strands and then put color on them to make it brown. it wont be very good for your hair but if you dont like how your hair looks then call her and have her do something... let me know what happens!

mark- i hate when that happens to me...when i try to post a blog and it doesnt do anything! so frustrating! how is everything going for you! good i hope! if you cousins want to come visit me at work i would love that! i will only be working the hibachi tables...(the one where the guy cooks the food in front of you) and we can go out somewhere else and i can go with you!

well thats about all i have! hope everyones day goes wonderfully!

Sarah...help!!!

Sarah--help me! I got my hair highlighted yesterday. I asked for chocolate brown highlights and now my hair is orange. What should I do? The first time she took the toner off it was blonde/orange and I told her I didn't like it. She put a brown toner on again for like, 30 minutes, and when she took it off it was more of a red/orange. It blended in better than the first time but then I got home and realized how orange my hair is. If I call her, is there anything else she can do? Will too much toner hurt my hair? What should I do? It looks ridiculous.

Not much else going on. I'll write more later, I need breakfast now.
