Sam's first night

Well, he was out snoring (literally) by 9:30 pm. I did not hear him all night, so I think he was fine. However, he did manage to take a poop and pee in his cage, all ready for me to clean up at 7am when I came downstairs. I hope this does not happen every morning until he gets used to his cage. Any suggsetions would be welcome. I just enrolled us in obedience classes nearby. I missed the first class but since the next round does not start until late July, she said its probably OK to begin a week late, so hope its OK with the trainer. If it is, we will begin next tuesday. Its so close too, which is nice. Now if only I can get him housetrained we should be all set. Oh, and I found out he hates baths. I did not have anywhere to put him (no tub in the basesment and our bathtub is beign calked later today (by me) and I did not want to use it, so we went outside with the hose and a bucket. He HATED it. Poor thing... tail between his legs and shaking. Geez... my parents said Sammy used to do that too but it seemed cruel. Trish- how are your dogs with getting a bath? He was real good with my 3 year old neice who came over last night tosee him. She was very active and noisy and Sam just looked at her, let her pet him, and then tried to get away from her (gently), so thats good. He really is a good dog, thank goodness.

well, time for lunch and then I am going to work on our bathroom.
