Hey everyone! I didn't want the day to go by without wishing Mark a great birthday. I hope you enjoyed your day Mark!!
Well, I've been packing and going thru everything we're taking with us on Saturday. Tomorrow night we have plans so after running to the store tomorrow afternoon for some groceries, I'm hoping everything will come together!
Tonight while home,we experienced our first bee sting....Mia got stung on her hand while playing outside after supper. I think kids are so petrified of getting stung that when they do, they totally lose control. She didn't know what to do for herself. She screamed, ran to me, cried, ran away from me, cried, jumped up and down all within 45 seconds!! Once she realized it really wasn't that bad, she was absolutely fine. In fact, she laughed at herself! I kept an eye on her for any allergic reaction. She was ready to play outside again within a few minutes. She remembered from The Bee Movie that a bee dies once it stings. When we were going back outside to play after it happened, she asked me if the bee was going to die. I told her it probably would. She said that the bees in our yard were probably getting ready for the stinging bee's funeral and that she's glad it can't sting her again, but hopes it goes to Heaven. After I told her that what she said was a nice thing to say, she ended the conversation with "well, I guess that bee learned his lesson and shouldn't have bit me!"
Oh, and although Mia was the one to get bit, Gianna was freaking out everytime anything flew, crawled or jumped near her! She's been afraid of bugs all summer and now that she knows Mia got bit, she was nuts.
Well, I hear Mike coming up our driveway...yes, his vehicle is THAT LOUD ...so I'm going to say hello and see how his day was.
See you all Saturday, can't wait!!
love you all!
