The house is 7543 Slayton Settlement Rd. Big white farm house with a spacious yard and big trees. On north side of road.
From the Thruway (30 minutes from Thruway)
Get off at exit 48-A
After passing through the booths, turn left onto 77. Take it north to Alabama.
In Alabama you will come to a lighted 4-way stop. Turn left onto Route 77.
Take 77 through the swamps. After about 8 minutes you will come to a 3-way stop. Turn left onto 77.
Maybe 3 minutes later the first light you come to will be Gasport Road, Turn right.
Take Gasport Rd. through the village of Gasport. After crossing the Erie Canal turn left at your first intersection. This is Slayton Settlement Rd. Our house will be on your right maybe 2.5 miles down the road, just past the first batch of cows.
From Williamsville (30 minutes)
Head north on Transit (78).
After passing the drive-in, turn right at the third light. This is Dysinger Road.
You will go through a lighted intersection. Your first left, about 1.5 mile past that, will be Bowmiller Road. Turn left.
Go through the stop sign. A few yards beyond it will be a 4-way stop. Turn right onto Lincoln Ave.
A couple of hundred yards past that, turn left onto the first road you see, This road becomes Day Road (whether it's Day Road at this point I don't know).
Take that all the way to the lighted intersection. Pass through that. Cross the canal. The second intersection is Slayton Settlement Road. Turn right. Our house is about 2.5 miles away on your left.
Call one of our cell phones of my dad's if you get lost. If you don't have one of these numbers, let me know or ask my mom. I am not going to post them on the blog. My cell is on the flyer at grandma's, too.
Can't wait until saturday. Pray for nice weather!!! And please bring old sneakers to hike/play volleyball, etc.... Jeans or long pants will be good, too, if you want to hike through our woods in case of poison ivy.
Jenn and Tricia- do you happen to have any lifevests for the kids? I was thinking if it is a nice day and they want to go in my canoe with an adult...we have adult life vests but no kiddie ones, I don't think.
See everyone soon!
Bernadette
