Happy afternoon!
Can you believe that we're getting more snow tonight?? Ugh, I didn't even know more was on the way. Hearing of more snow leads me to answer today's question about favorite summer pastimes. Before being married and having the girls, my favorite summer things to do were visit Buffalo, play softball and be on summer vacation from school. I know most of you don't remember, but when I was living home, each summer we'd visit all of you in Buffalo. When I was really young, I stayed by myself for a week and someone would always drive me back. I loved being in Buffalo. I used to say that I was going to run away and go to Grandma's. Also, summertime meant softball league to me. I played for years and later coached. And, of course, NO SCHOOL! Before I worked, my 2 best friends and I would sleep at each other's houses and hang out all day. We'd call boys, order pizza, swim and then go to softball after supper. We were all on the same team for a few years and we had a blast!
With Mike and the girls, I love the day trips we go on. Last year, we went to the zoo and met Tricia & gang there. We go to a local amusement park a few times and we were just talking about a few places we have planned for this summer. It's fun packing up the cooler and taking off for the day.

Susan: I hope George comes home soon. You did mention him when you were here and it's cool that you went out of your way to find out where he was. I'm sure he thinks the world of you for it :o)

Tricia: We'll work on that trip to Cooper's!

Well, I'm off to do dishes and get this party started! (don't i wish!) Me, Mike, the girls, some snow....what more could I want on a Friday night?!? hmmmmm....
