I'm heeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

Hello cousins! I can't believe i am just getting on now! This morning I met with my boss for over and hour about a meeting i had yesterday, then I had some paperwork, then a client for an hour, and then it was my lunch break so I went for a 50 minute walk with my walking partner since it was so nice out! Then I came back and had a proposal to write, emails to answerm, and then about 50 blog entries to read through! You are all chatty and I love it! Where are the FL people though?

Ok, a few comments about the blog:

Lauren- great to hear from you again, and we look forward to you coming in town for a month! I do hope to go on the road trip with you girls. Are any of our cars able to fit us all? I forget who is going.

Tricia- I laughed when I read the piece about the white guy running with a bullet proof jacket on. If it is that unsafe to run in your neighborhood, wouldn't you buy a treadmill or drive to a safer neighborhood? Just my thoughts, but some people are hooked on life threatening stunts. Also, please let us know if socially inappropriate and Powder come back to class. At least it helps pass the time if the class is boring or at desert temps.

Jenn- why do you dislike tuesdays so much? And I cringed when you said you got cream cheese smeared on yuor face. I hate feeling gooey, espcially on my face. Ewww.

To all of you talking about coffee. I want some. I actually like the taste (depending on brand) and drink it black. I do like latte's though, and get a vanilla soy latte or chai tea latte at starbucks occasioanally. My dad loves those creamers to, and I think carries them with him to work (not the little ones, the big bottle!) Who can blame him when he has a 12 huor work day plus 4 hours travel time?

Qu of the Day: the first thing I thought of when you asked about maintaining a healthy lifestyle had actually nothing to do about food. Probably because I am at work and do a lot of work with clients about managing stress in healthier ways which of course includes a nutritious diet but my initial thought was more of taking time for self-care, setting good boundaries, not taking on unecessary responsibilites, managing time, sleeping well (but that gets shot out the window when Bob gets up at 4:30 am- but I love you Bob (( he reads this)), exercising... then nutrition. As far as what I eat to be healthy... well, I try to stay away from fried foods but give in occasionally (ok, make that about once a week), I don't drink things with sugar and usually stay away from diet drinks too. I do eat a lot of red meat being married to a great hunter (love ya Bob), it is hard not too. But a lot of it is turkey and venision (I guess turkey is not red meat but anyway), and we eat a lot of veges and salad with dinner, along with a starch. By nature I am not inclined to a sweet tooth (i will pause so you can swear at me) so I don't usually crave sweets, but I do salty things like chips so I try to eat more healthy chips like organic tortilla chips and RF cape cod chips. The bison and helavu dips I dip the chips in probably don't help my cause.

Ok, so I guess I am not really eating so nutritiously these days but I exercise at least 4 times per week most weeks and manage my stress pretty well. Graduate school helped me with that. A solid support system with good relationships help as well.

ok, another meeting with my boss. talk to you people later i hope!!

LIVE WELL.

B
