Hi everyone! I have a few minutes and wanted to say a few things to Susan. I will be back later to post more for everyone though.
Susan--first, the best looking guy ever....Patrick Dempsey...but not necessarily him as much as his character on Grey's Anatomy. Dr. Shephard is hot!
Ok---not knowing what to do with your life. First, I think a lot of people feel this way. I have a group of friends online and out of 9 of us, I think 8 of us feel like you. Someways to help though. Try readings What Color is Your Parachute? and the workbook too. Also, when I was graduating from law school, knowing I didn't want to practice law, I bought a book called "101 things to do with a law degree" or something like that. See if there is one for Accounting. You may be able to find a job using your degree that is more enjoyable than public accounting. Meanwhile, you can maintain your lifestyle and also consider going to school at night and not lose your income.
Also, consider that maybe you can fulfill your love for animals by volunteering. You can still look for a different job.
If you decide to go back to school, you might consider getting a master's in a field you enjoy or get one in accounting and then you can teach accounting. Or you can get a second bachelors degree and it will probably only take two years since your accounting degree will fill your general ed areas. If you go to a state school, it may not be too expensive. If time is at issue, consider online courses. I teach at University of Phoenix online but there are many schools offering online courses now such as Pitt, Duke, Penn State...just a few that came to mind.
With a love for animals, have you ever considered being a Vet or a Vet Tech? Vet Tech degrees can be earned in two years or less.
Just a few thoughts that came to mind when you posted your dilemma.
I was going to come back and post more later but I have a few minutes now. I was at the library this morning for a few hours. Did ok today. Tomorrow is Philadelphia. Tonight is the first class of spring semester at the local college I teach at. I have two classes to teach tonight. My friend is babysitting the boys for the first time so I am a little nervous. I'm sure it will be fine but I am still nervous.
Kristy--so cool that we both love friends. I watch the seasons in order too! So funny! Dave and I actually "argue" (not true arguments) because I fall asleep watching Friends and when he comes home to work, he'll watch it for a few minutes and then be hooked on it and he can't fall asleep. So, him being up late is all my fault! :-)
Jenn--will mom be at your house tonight? I wanted to leave Karen a number where she can reach mom in case she has a question and I didn't get to my phone.
Bernadette--I feel so bad that their barn was just finished and it got destroyed. You said yesterday that the wind was bad when Bob woke up at 4:30!
Ok, I have to go now. I'll be back later before I go to work.
Tricia
