Hmmm.... since the day is almost half over (for me anyway, I guess it depends what time you wake up) i will post a question.... What is your favorite stress reliever? Mine would have to be the gym; I know, I know, boring. A close second for me is singing Kelly Clarkson in the car when no one is driving with me (maybe not so boring?) Lol.
For those that asked about the freelance...it was posted on a early career psychologist listserve I am on. She was targeting therapists, particularly those working with teenagers and/or college students, so that the articles written would be written with that population in mind and geared towards psychological and wellness topics. She (the political psychologist that I correspond with) is part of an internet based company that gets "hired" by colleges and universities to design educational websites. So I am an independent contractor for this company, from what I understand. She even edits my articles, and gives me potential topics to write about. My first, strangely enough, was about suicide. I found it good to write about knowing, or at least hoping, that I will help at least one person who reads it. I guess you can say its like my own therapy... except I get paid. I am excited about it.
Speaking of therapy... check out this website for a neat article written by an anonymous person who talks about the process he or she went through to grieve. http://webb.nmu.edu/Centers/CounselingAndConsultation/SiteSections/SelfHelp/DeathAndGrief.shtml
Please let me know if you have trouble opening it. It begins with "Dealing with Death (and Other Significant Losses) —One Human’s Thoughts" I think its a great article and have given it to multiple clients I have worked with.
Ok. enough therapist talk. One hour until our Christmas party with good food and booze! I will let you know how it goes.
Take care, Bernadette
