...and there goes 2007!

Happy New Year's Eve! Cheers to a good night for all the partiers. I will be hanging out at home with a bottle of water and some decongestant. I have a cold...Yuck!

Bernadette: Have a jello shot for me! I haven't had one in so long and I used to love them! Have fun at your party.
Kristy & Amber: Hope your party is awesome, too. Kristy, thanks for fixing the time display:o)
Sarah: Glad to hear from you today. Hope you can keep joining us.
Susan: Have a good day off work tomorrow. Hope you're doing something fun tonight.
Mark: A night off tonight?? If not, I bet you'll make good money$$. Have a good night.
Tricia: Glad your class is over. Clear your thoughts and try to decide on that next one. I know you'll do what's best for you. Good job this past week :o)
And, to all 18 of Us::
HAPPY NEW YEAR COUSINS!! Love to all of you! It's been great being closer to you thru this blog! Here's to a wonderful 2008!!!
~jenn

5.5 hours and counting

Happy almost New year!

I have been cooking and making jello shots all day! Well, Ok, so it was not all day since I had time to watch a bunch of episodes of the law and order criminal intent marathon. Poeple will be arriving in about 1.5 hours, so I still have plenty of time to put the finishing touches on the house and get myself gussied up.

Kristy- you had to work during the day only today, right? I bet Amber was home prepping for your party if she was not working too. Its great having your own party because then you can drink and not worry about driving!

Sarah- good to see you made it on. See, i told you you could figure it out :)

Tricia- I hear ya about trying to decide whether or not to take the additional class. They have something like that for my licensure exam. I have been told it is a waste of time (for my profession) and the exam materials (expensive enough!) are sufficient for most people to pass. My advice is to ask people that you know that passed the bar and see if most of them took the extra class (and dished out extra $$) and make your decision that way. Good luck, whatever you decide.

Well, I had better get going. Happy New Year everyone!!

Love, Bernadette

PS that was me...

That last post was from me, Tricia!

Love you all,
Tricia

Done with that class...

Hello all!

I'm done with that class I was taking. It was a good one though and I hope I will see an improvement in my practice question scores. But everyone was talking about this other course they are taking which I did not sign up for because it was a little pricey. But now I am wondering if I should have taken it. They have lectures most days for the next month or so. I wouldn't be able to attend them all but I could certainly go to the ones for the subject areas where I need help. Plus, I would get all the books. I took a different course but I find the books a little confusing so I am wondering if I should suck it up and take this other course. Decisions, decisions...

Sarah---hey, you made it! Great to see you! It sounds like you may need to join Amber and I in the little sister's club for the way Susan ignored you and gave you the wrong password. Totally something Jenn would do to me or Kristy might do to Amber! lol...

Kristy--hope today is a better day at work! Have fun at your party tonight. It was great to talk to you today!

Bernadette--have fun at your party too! I never ate a pomengrant or pomengrade (and I never spelled it either!).

Mark--are you working tonight for the holiday? I bet you'll make good tips if you are.

I am watching The Good Girl. Have you ever seen it? Is the girl who works in cosmetics the same girl from Elf? I think it is....

I am going to rest for a little (if the kids allow me to). Happy New Year's to everyone! I'll probably be sound asleep as the new year starts. :-)

GO BULLS

Hey guys just a quick hi we have a huge party today at the dugout for the Bulls Bowl Game today so I will talk to you all later. Love you all and talk to you soon. Much love.

Kristy

Hey All!!!!

Hey everyone!!!!! It's Sarah! Sorry it took me so long to get on this, but i am really bad with computers. and it doesnt help that susan gave me the wrong password and then yelled at me that i typed it in wrong. or when i asked for help ( while trying to be a good family member) she ignores me!!!! lol she was on the phone, so maybe that was why. oh well!!!! i finally made it!

i was trying to catch up and read everything, but there is just so much to read. tricia i would have invited you to lunch, and jenn tell mike he can clean his own house. lol, my help is for grandma only! kristy, i hope work will be better for you next time you go in. miss you all!!!!

Me and my ferrets are just hanging out watching tv, well they fell asleep a little while ago. so i am just sitting here drinking my coffee with joe and susan. Joe says hi and he misses all of you. he will be on soon to tell you himself.

Hope everyone had a great christmas! and have a great new years!!!! Be careful tho!!!!

Im going to get going, i have to fix my hair before i leave to go to grandmas at 1. I will be on again soon! Love and Miss you all!!!!

Love Sarah!!!

Darn Capognas

Kristy- I am sorry you had a bad night at work. Was it customers, employees, both? I hope you were able to unwind a bit once you got home.

Who fixed the time? There was no name? I am writing about 9:12am so we'll see what it says when I post it.

I wanted so badly to sleep in today since we are having a party tonight and in previous years, some very drunk people have stayed past 3am. But luck would have it that the guys came about 8:15 to work on the house. Hope to catch a nap after they leave.

I will probably be back later.

Love, Bernadette

Jennifer I think I fixed the time issue

Hey I am back cause I think I fixed the time issue, let me know if it is good on your computer, if not I will tell you what I did. Love Ya.

Sometimes I Hate Work

I am sorry I am getting on so late, but I had a hellish day at work. It all started early and rolled down hill from there. I have never been happier to be at home alone before thank god for that sometimes. Well I just stopped in to say hello, hope all is well and I will be talking to you all soon I am sure. HAPPY NEW YEAR to all have a fun and safe New Year. Love you all always.

Slow day

Not too busy on the blog today. As for me, I was cleaning and decorating for our party tomorrow (Bob did help). We had dinner with his family and then did our grocery shopping for the party. His aunt did a cool thing a couple years ago at Christmas that I have adopted for champagne (take note Kristy and Amber and anyone else who is having a party)... cut up a pomegranate (take out the seeds which is the fruit) and placce a bunch at the bottom of a chanmpagne glass (or 7up, club soda, white wine...) it makes it look fancy and adds some antioxidant power if you eat them! Cheers!

I just hate knowing you are forgetting something at the store and then remembering when you get home. I forgot lemons, marshmellows, and cranberry juice; luckily my mom has all in stock at her house and will bring them over for me. The marshmellows are for the new chocolate fountain Connie gave me. Yum!

Well, I am going to get going. I hope everyone has a wonderful, safe, and happy New Years. Love you. Bernadette

Calm down, calm down....

Good morning everyone. Before I fill you in on our wonderful day visiting in Buffalo, I first have to get this out of my system:::: Tricia- I want the names of every one of those people in your class that went to lunch and didn't have the courtesy to invite just one more person, because I am going to Kick Their A$$es, including the teacher. Not just because that one more person they didn't invite was you, my sister, but because, well, just because I got so upset when I read your post that I am just going to have to Kick Their A$$es! I'm having flashbacks of the kid that tried to steal your little, purple tricycle and I pushed him into the snow! I can't believe anyone would be so nasty. Well, just keep in mind that what comes around, goes around and someday they'll have to eat lunch alone, too. And, when they do, I hope they squirt milk out of their noses and pee themselves. Then, lunch on your own will make it all worth it :o) Okay, I'm over my sad, aggression. Tricia, I hope their lunches sucked! Okay, now I'm really over it.
Yesterday, ah yes, our trip was really nice. We had the nicest time visiting and of course, eating with everyone. The girls woke up today and asked if we could go again in a little while. They enjoyed playing games and spending time at Grandma's & Grandpa's just as much as Mike & I did. We took lots of pictures.
Bernadette: I realized on our way home that yesterday was your 3rd month anniversary! Happy Anniversary! Thanks for spending time with us! Oh, Mia loved her braid!
Susan & Sarah: We'd love you guys to visit. As time gets closer, let us know your plans. Thanks for hanging out with us and keeping the girls occupied! They had a ball! Mike says that when you're here you can clean the house because you did a great job at Grandma's :o)
Mark: Loved your posts from yesterday. Thanks for rushing to Grandma's to share a ham sandwich with us! That was awesome of you. Mike has insisted that by next Christmas he will find an ornament of a ham sandwhich and buy one for each person in the family. He loved visiting yesterday! Thanks for the appearance on your break.
Kristy: Your post yesterday was funny and so true about Aunt Deb looking down on us all. It's given me strength at times and that's what reassures me that she's keeping her eye out for us. I loved that your thoughts of her kept you running.

Oh, and what's with the time on each post being totally off? I tried to fix it once, but I guess it didn't work. Not that it matters, but I did try to get it right.
Have a wonderful Sunday everyone! Lovin' this blog!! But, not as much as I love you all.....(Kristy's corny-ness is contagious. Hey, is corny-ness a word? corniness...cornyness...whatever!)
Love and hugs all around!! ~jenn

I Will Have Lunch With You Tricia

You know I go to work for one night and people are getting told to f off and being left alone for lunch geez what is the world coming to?

Tricia I would never leave someone alone to eat lunch especially you (cause you are my favorite but don't tell anyone, OK seriously I am going to stop with that joke already, we all know by now Susan is the favorite, lol) Anyway I feel bad for you that is mean, who are you Lindsey Lohan in the movie Mean Girls, I mean really those girls need to grow up.

Mark I know things get tough sometimes, certain things remind you of Aunt Deb, and the day in the bank with your mom I am sure was awful for both of you, I am sorry you had to go through that, but it is good to cry sometimes and it is OK, it will happen sometimes without reason and sometimes because something makes you think of her, and that is OK. It is always better to remember than to forget. We need to keep her alive for every one's sake. Hang in there it will get easier. A couple weeks ago when I ran 2 miles for the first time, I was at about a mile and a half, and I kept thinking I had to stop, but something came over me, and I felt like Aunt Debbie was there with me, and I finished, and immediately started to cry, cause I knew she helped me finish. I felt good and bad all at the same time. I know she is always watching and looking out for us, she always did when she was alive, and I know she won't stop now.

Bernadette Thanks for always being there and rooting for me, I love you, (we all know you are my favorite, I mean really that joke is ridiculous now. lol) Have fun at your party for the New Year, think of us, cause I think Amber and I are going to have a small party also.

Susan Hope all is well, and you made it through your day at work. I am sure we will talk more during the week.

Jennifer Hope you all had a great time in B lo. Wish I could have been there with you.

Josh Where have you gone?

Anyone hear anything about Brandon? Is he doing OK? Let me know, fill us all in.

Well I am really tired, I am going to go to bed now. Everyone sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite. (OK that was corny) Love and Miss you all.

I am sending you all big HUGS!!!!

Kristy

Lunch time blues

Tricia- I would not leave one person to eat lunch by herself either. Maybe we are just nice like that, or those women are be-otches and jealous of you. I would have eaten lunch with you! Some people never grow up...

Jenn and Mike- it was GREAT to see you and your beautiful daughters. Drive safely (and sanely) home. I think the girls actually were more rambunctous when they left than when they arrived at grandmas... Good luck on the drive home. And thanks for making that long trip to come visit us for the day.

Kristy- what can I say? You go girl! I am proud of and happy for you ;)

Mark- it was good to see you, if only for 13 minutes. I hope you made it back to work on time. And that is ridiculous about that woman telling you to f off, like you made the bank's policy on whatever she was bitchin about. Where do people get off that there you know what doesn't stink? Geez. The world could use a dose of humility and compassion.

Just a reminder to everyone in town (or who wants to make the trip), Bob and I will be having our annual New Years' Eve bash beginning at 8pm.

Ok, going to watch a movie with my hubby now. Love you all. Bernadette

4 days down, 2 more to go...

Ok, this driving so much is really getting old. I have a huge headache right now. And my mom was here babysitting the boys and somehow messed up our tv/dish and so we can only watch DVDs. I'm sure Dave can fix it but he doesn't get home until about 11 tonight. Oh well, at least we are well stocked with DVDs.

Mark--how many ham sandwiches can you eat in 13 minutes? lol....how many did you get to go? lol...
I've been meaning to say this for a few days. Sorry you had a hard time when your mom came into the bank. I'm sure it was hard for both of you. The music will get you forever. I'm the same way. I still get upset when I hear certain songs that remind me of when Dave was in Iraq. They get me every time too. I guess memories are good, whether they are happy or sad. Its better than forgetting.

Kristy--great job on the running!

Bernadette--we can play volleyball and softball at the reunion. I think everyone will enjoy that. How is your mom's hair? At your wedding she said she wanted to get it cut short like mine. Is that what she did or did she choose a different style?

So, I'm in class with only 10 other people. My and another girl are the only ones who did not go to school together. The other 8 people all are classmates. So, these 8 girls have been talking since day 1 that they were going to all get there early today and go to lunch. Ok, no problem, right? Well, at lunchtime, the ones that were there, leave and invite the teacher, who also goes, which left me there all by myself (some of the other students came to class later for only the after lunch portion) I didn't care but at the same time, I thought to me myself that I would never have left one person there all alone. So, anyway, I ate my lunch that I brought from home, all by myself.

Well, that was my day. Now I need to eat and find some tylenol, get Andrew to bed and bring Daniel into my bed so he can watch a movie and I can rest.

Talk to you tomorrow, cousins!
Love you!
Tricia

YAY Jenn!

Look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Buffalo bound!

Hey! Things look good for a morning take off to Buffalo. We plan on leaving by 8am. Gianna sleeps late, but we're going to wake her and have her eat on the way. Hopefully, they're both in good moods after traveling. Mia's been asking to visit for weeks! Bernadette and Susan, I'm glad we'll get to see you! Mark, we'll come out again when Lauren is in town so if you're working, we'll see you next time. Bernadette, please thank your mom from us on the overnight stay offer. I did pack things to stay just in case, but I think we'll head home tomorrow night. It's such a long, hard drive home when we stay over because the girls don't sleep. We end up driving on a couple hours of sleep and it's so hard. That's when the trip seems to last 10 hours instead of 4 or 5. Anyway, I can't wait to see any of you that can stop at Grandma's.
Well, kids are in bed, Mike is snoozing on the couch and I think I'm going to relax, too. The heck with dishes, laundry and chores. I'm sure they'll all be here when we get home. Everyone have a great night! Hugs & love all around!!! ~jenn

Dr. Allen Grant is my Hero....

jenn- i will be working all day tomorrow...if you guys can you should come to visit me at Mazz's and have a couple of cocktails.....i'm guessing i till be a zombie by sunday so i may not make it to grandma's sunday morning but i'm gonna try....when do you leave...

bernadette- that is a bomb cd....i still remember the first time i saw that band with you, uncle dave, aunt debbie and her friend at the riviera...it was one of my all-time favorite shows...def in the top 10....i didn't know any of the songs, but it was highly enjoyable....

I love all of you

Mark

Everyone Say A Little Prayer For Brandon

Well that is bad news hope Brandon is ok. Sorry I missed you last night Susan I promise I will post more at night.
Tricia I hope your last class goes well, you have to be excited that you don't have to make that drive anymore. Well I am at work I just wanted to say a quick hi. About the reunion, it is on for the peters clan, our parents will be happy that we are planning it, so they won't have to. Tricia great idea about the softball game, we can do other games too, we will make a whole day of it. I think a Saturday would be best so no one feels like they have to get back to work the next day. well let me know what you all think. Love you all and Miss you all.

Kristy

SATURDAY

Jenn- I will be around, and Bob should be too. My mom and brother should be around too. My dad is out of town working all weekend, so he won't be here. That would be great if you could come in tomorrow. My mom says you are more than welcome to sleep at their house if you want to stay over, especially since my dad is out of town so you would not have to worry about waking him up or anything.

My mom said to tell everyone that our cousin Brandon's sugar dropped and he had to go to the hospital last week and needs to get tests done but he is all right currently. I guess they think its low blood sugar related (hypoglycemia or something).

Well, Sarah should be here soon to cut my mom's hair so I had better run. Jenn-hope to see you tomorrow!!

Bernadette

Hi!!

Hey guys!!
Jenn, I will be around tomorrow morning, but I work at 3 (at the restuarant--I have 3 more Saturdays of working there, and then I am done until May because of tax season). But if you come early in the day, I will definitely come to see you!!
Susan

8 hours of sleep

for the first time in like 2 weeks i got 8 hours of sleep....i feel great!!! lol....good times for sure....i am def interested in trying to make a family reunion for our family....it will be such a good time to have us all in together...i think that its def something that we should carry on for very long times....even when our kids have kids i'm still all about doing it....

it probably won't be too hard to organize it...its just finding a shelter and getting everyone's dates confirmed....i think it will be a very nice gift to our parents if we organize it so that they don't have to...we put the burdens on ourselves and that will ensure that they have an even better time....

Lauren- i'm soo glad that you are coming in....i'm gonna be with our Florida family from the 28th-2nd....but we will hang out a whole lot....i think that some of our cousins will be coming in that first week of feb to so it will be a whole lot of fun....

susan- 6 am is way too early for me to have breakfast...fridays i'm at the branch for 11 hours so if you ever go at like 7 i will go with you for sure....6 is just too early for me to be out of the house on a day that is really long for me....

tricia- keep plugging away at that bar....you will get there for sure....those ice bowl tickets are sold now so i have to withdraw the offer....i'm sure we could get a group together to go to pittsburgh for a hockey game....i think it would be alot of fun...we'll have to check the upcoming schedule to see when the next few games are in pittsburgh....

amber- keep on shopping you diva

katy- where the heck have you been...i can get a drunk dial at 1 am but not a post on the blog....come on......come on......lol...whats the deal with that.....? lol

we gotta get heath and olivia on here for sure....and where the heck is vinny and uncle bob's kids....time to start giving people some guff....lol

well i gotta get back to work. take care.

I Love All Of You
Mark

Question for the B-lo people????

Hello Everyone!
Sorry to only have a few minutes, but wanted to ask all the B-lo people who will be around tomorrow? We were thinking of coming out for the day tomorrow (Saturday) but wanted to make sure we'd see most of you. Thank you Bernadette for filling me in on the weather. I was going to look that up. Okay, I'll check in later for responses. love to you all! Oh Susan, sorry about the payday thing. I've done that, too and hate it! Catch y'all later!! ~jenn

lowest of the low

I forgot to mention the Lowest of the Low CD, Shakespeare my butt, as one of my all time favorites. Sorry to be very belated on this Qu of D. I still have one more CD I think. I will have to give that even more thought!

Jenn- are you coming in this weekend? I heard from Grandma you are depending on the weather. Please post when you know that you are coming. The weather should be fine, mostly above freezing temps and some rain through this weekend I think.

So my mom is having Sarah chop her hair today. I am going over there around lunchtime to witness the transformation. Should be interesting!

I woke up this morning around 8 because I heard the guys walk upstairs but I have not heard anything since. Same thing yesterday. What can they be doing quietly upstairs?? hmmm... i just hope they finish in the month of January sometime.

I am all for the reunion, and if the sport we play must be softball, I am in. Bob would love it. I am a volleyball fan, or probably most any other sport oer softball, but I will play for you Tricia ;)

Well, I need to get things done before my chiro appointment and then I am off to my parents' house. I hope everyone has a great day.

Pa pa (Romanian for goodbye),
Bernadette

Good morning, Susan!

Hi Susan! Sorry I didn't post last night but I woke up extra early so that I could post a quick note this morning. Sorry about pay day. At least its only a few days away and not another week or something.

Today is my third day of class but I still have three more to go. New Year's Eve is our last day.

Someone from Buffalo called me yesterday but they didn't leave a message. I was in class and couldn't answer. Was it any of you?

Reunion--I was thinking it would be Grandma and Grandpa, all their kids, and then all of us. But if for some reason we can't get all of that group together, then at a minimum, all of the cousins. We can have it wherever, but I was thinking yesterday that we should definitely play a game of softball with all of us (and whoever else wants to play). I think that would be fun, do you?

Ok, the battery on my laptop is running out and I have to get going to class. Talk to you later, gators!
Love you,
Tricia

How disappointing...

Nobody posted last night!! I like coming to work in the morning and reading all the new entries from the night before....well, that's ok, I'm sure everyone's busy!!
So anyways, goodmorning everyone!! I hope everyone is doing well!
Last day for your review course right Tricia?? That's exciting!!
Mark, I'm sorry I couldn't text you earlier yesterday, it would've been nice if you came to breakfast with me and Sarah today!! Next week maybe!!
Know what else is a big let down?? I thought today was pay day, I wrote out all my bills for today and everything--didn't realize that the last day of the month is Monday, not Sunday, so Monday's pay day...gotta love not having a lot of money on the weekend!! haha
Alright, talk to you soon..
Susan

I'm outta here...

Alright, I am getting out of work 15 minutes early (I worked through my lunch so I am figuring that is ok!!) I want to get to Grandma's a little earlier than usual because I am meeting my friend for a couple drinks tonight because she is moving to Baltimore next week (I'm sure some of you know her, the girl I used to live with-Nina). Well, I hope everybody has a great night, and I will talk to you tomorrow!!
Love you, Susan

Going shopping today!

Hey there family,

Well since I don't have to work at the resturaunt until 5 today, Kristy, Sandro and I are going shopping. I am exicited to spend the gift cert. I got for X-mas!

Susan - when you guys come, my mom isnt going to care if you all go out with Kristy, Katy and I. We are all adults. Though she might ask 20 questions cause thats how moms do things yeah know! And trust me my mom will ask 20 questions, but god love her!

Everyone - about the reunion - I think Kristy's idea was good about haveing people from every state planning! Great idea! We should probably find out who that should be, yeah know!

Mark - to answer your question. I was thinking it was going to be a whole family thing. ( I hope everyone else is with me on that) It would be nice to get everyone together once a year!

Tricia - Have fun with that class I hope it helps!

Bernadette - we all have fun at dinner tonight with the family! And thatnk you so much for the picture fame and photos! They are so funny! "Good Times"

Alright well off the shop, one of my fav things to do!

Love you all, and have a good day!

Amber

Happy Thursday!

Hi everyone! How's everything. Getting back to normal now that Christmas is over? Its such a weird feeling, we spend weeks getting reading for Christmas, getting ourselves in the Christmas spirit, and then in one day its all over and things go back to normal. Christmas should be like 3 days long just to make it worth all the effort, haha. Well we are still in Salamanca, but tomorrow we go back to Badajoz. Then I will be figuring out what I'm doing with the trip to Buffalo. I'm pretty sure the dates are going to be Jan. 20 to Feb. 20. Thats the cheapest I've found. Do any of you guys in Buffalo know of any jobs (preferibly waitressing jobs) that there might be for when I'm there? I want to find a job that I can earn good tips, so that I have some $$ to spend while I'm there. Well hope everyone is having a good day! Talk to you all soon. Love you
Lauren

That was a great length Kristy!!

Kristy, that was the perfect length of writing to keep me occupied for a little!! It does seem like we haven't talked to you in forever, even though it's only been a couple days!! I'm glad your Christmas was good!!
Oh, so I know I've told the Floridians that me, Steph, and Brandon are coming at the end of May--I guess Steph talked to Aunt Donna who is planning on us staying with her, which is definitely fine with me. The only thing is that if we want to go out drinking with you guys (Kristy, Amber, and Katie), will your Mom mind??
And a summer reunion sounds great---is this going to be a reunion in Buffalo or somewhere else??
Well, I guess I'll get back to work before the slice of pizza I ordered gets here! (gotta love Prima Pizza!)
Love you,
Susan

welcome to the jungle

Ladies, Ladies, Ladies....Jay and Silent Bob are in the Hiz-ouse....lol....i love kevin smith movies...they really are great...well anyways it is the day after one of the longest days i've ever had...it felt like yesterday was two days...it was crazy i was at the bank from 8:15-5:30....then i had to go to mazz's and i didn't get out till almost 3...by the time i got home and such i was struggling....i slept on the chair cuz i knew if i slept in bed i would never be able to wake up...lol...so i'm running strong on about 2-3 hours of sleep...hooray....lol...

sadness- so my mom came in to the branch to open up aunt debbie's estate account and it was pretty hard for me to be there knowing....and the worst part was this morning when i had to review all of the work from yesterday to make sure that it was all taken care of properly and i saw it i cried a little bit...it was the worst....i still get really emotional and cry a little when some songs come on the radio....but the family is there for me and it really helps the cause....

tricia- i have all of my keys....lol...sometimes its the worst i'll put them somewhere and just totally blank out on it.....then i'll be furious cuz i misplaced them....lol....

reunion- what kind of reunion were we thinking about...just for the cousins or like huge family wide? let me know on soem options....

Florida Family- still trying to get an amount of tickets we need to go to this hockey game....i'd like to include everyone that is interested so if you can figure this out i'd appreciate it alot....

Tricia- The sabres play the penguins on Jan 1 outdoors at the bills stadium...i may be able to get two tickets if you guys can come up....not sure when they play in pitt but i think we could talk susan into going....well i'm out of here....take care

I Love All Of You

Hello Everyone I Have Missed You

Gosh I have not been on in 2 days and feel like we haven't talked in years. Glad to hear everyone had a good Christmas, I did too.

Lauren Hope all goes well with the trip to Buffalo, I also hope I can make an appearance when you get there. :)

Tricia Wow I do feel bad for you and those long days to come, it will be over before you know it. I have no idea when our show will be back, I did notice Grey's Anatomy will be back January 10Th so I am not sure if that is a leftover episode or if the writers are back hopefully the writers are back.

Bernadette Are there always going to be people working on your house, gosh It seems to be lasting a while, I hope they are done for you soon, it has to be a bit nerve racking to wake up to chainsaws and things.

Amber Welcome back stay for a while :)

Susan I hope this entry is long enough for you I enjoy keeping you busy when you are at work. Sorry I don't get on as much as Tricia normally does. Hope dinner with Jeff's family was good.

Mark Good god do you ever sleep... I wish I had that much energy. I am not sure how much work you have today, but hope you have a good day.

Jennifer You need to leave the tent up, we should all make guest appearances in the tent that would be so fun. I think it is so funny that the thing is so big, I could just picture your faces when you were putting it up, great visual.

Family Reunion Well I think we definitely need to start planning it. We should maybe have certain people in charge of certain things, we definitely need to represent all the cousins in different states, so someone in Florida, Pennsylvania, and a few in Buffalo, should make up the committee. What does everyone else think?

Uncle David I think it would be cool to let Uncle David on. Like Bernadette said if we let the Aunts and Uncles on they will not be on nearly as much as we are so I think it would be OK. I also do think it is cool that it is just us cousins though maybe we could set up a separate blog for all of us, that is an idea what do we think of that?

Well I am going to go for now, hope every one's day goes well. Susan I will try to be back, cause I know Tricia will not be on till later.

Time is flying

i can't believe it is the thursday after Christmas already! IS time flying for anyone else?

I am fine with uncle david or whoever coming on. I doubt anyone will post as much as we all do, so I think it will still feel like a cousin's blog :)

I WOKE UP AT 5 AFTER 8 TO the sound of the guys working upstairs... its kind of freaky to be waken by chainsaws and whatever else they use up there! I am doing laundry, putting gifts away, and cooking breakfast (leftover ham, yum) and then I will be out of here. I don't really see them since the house is so separated that they have their own key and come in a completely separate entrance. I just see them if I want to go upstairs to see what they are doing or to answer an occasional question.

Today, well tonight, we are finally gong to be celebrating Bob's bday, which was the 19th, with my family. We are going to one of his and my mom's favorite mexican restaurants (La Tolteca). That should be fun. Its about the only day my dad has off this week besides christmas. He had to work in syracuse yesterday for one day, so he drove 2.5 hours there, worked 10 hours, then drove the 2.5 hours home. Ugh. Crazy schedule that man has!

well, I need to flip the ham. Hope to chat later.

love you,
Bernadette

Goodmorning!!

Goodmorning everyone!!
Next time I see Steph, I'll be sure to give her the blog info...Did you give it to Chris already Tricia? Well, he's not around much so I guess it's understandable if he didn't get it to Steph yet..
Mark, how was work last night? Hopefully you got busy for the Sabres game!
Tricia, I hope that class helps you out for the Bar--it better for all the driving you have to do!!
Well, at least the work week is almost over!! I feel so exhausted today--we were at Jeff's Dad's until like 10:30 last night, but he lives in Orchard Park so that's a decent ride home...it still seems like I should've gotten a good night's sleep, but it doesn't feel like it!!
Oh well, I guess I better start some work now...

Study class, reunions, favorite presents...

Hi everyone! Merry day after Christmas!

I was in Harrisburg all day for a review course. I got up at 4:30 this morning, left my house at 5:30 drove 2 hours to Harrisburg spent the day in the class and then drove the 2 hours home. I just got home at 5:30. Loooooong day! I'm exhausted.

Susan--sorry girlfriend but you'll have to do work this week. My class ends on New Year's Eve (yes we have class on New Year's Eve) so I will be here when you return to work after the holiday. Also, can you pass the blog info on to Stephanie so she can come chat?

Hold on...I have to go get my annoying dog...Ok, I'm back. Have I ever told you about our annoying dog? First off, she is beautiful. She's a pure bred chocolate lab that my mother-in-law bought for us. The problem is, is that she barks ALL THE TIME! Not so much when she is in the house, but when she is outside, she barks not only if anyone walks near our house, but if they walk anywhere on our street. I mean if they are 3 blocks away and she can see them, she barks at them. She is 3 years old so I am hoping she gets better as she gets older.

Ok, back to the blog...

I am ok with whoever wants to join the blog but I do kind of like that its just us cousins. The exception would be that Uncle David can certainly chat with us here. I guess since he is the youngest of the siblings and not much older than the oldest grandchild (you know, Jennifer, the old one.. :-) that he fits right in. But, like Mark said, I wouldn't want to keep anyone out so if someone else wanted to pop in and say hi, that's cool.

Amber--I certainly want to do the reunion. How do we plan it? Should we have a committee or something? Anyone want to run that?

Lauren--can't wait for you to come home for awhile. We'll certainly come visit while you are home. Can't wait!

Bernadette--how are you and Bob feeling? How many kids does his sister have? Is it just the one girl or did she have another baby? I don't know your friends but you can tell them hi for me anyway! :-)

Jenn--Hi! I'm eating all of the banana chocolate chip thingys Mike made. I'm totally not sharing them with Daniel!

Mark---did you find the keys on Christmas Eve?

Kristy--our show is not on again this week! They have The Sound of Music on instead. Really? That can't be pulling in the ratings! I was looking forward to watching the repeats, if necessary.

Favorite present--I got a few things I wanted and really like but I think the one I am most excited about is the gift certificate my parent's got Dave and I. Its too this Japanese restaurant we really enjoy going to and the last time we went was my birthday in June. Looking forward to a night out again!

Ok, I think that is all for me today. I'm going to get these boys to bed so I can go to bed!
Good night!

Hello everyone!

Hey there,
Well again it has been a while since I have been on. Sorry about that! I have been reading everyones blogs for almost two hours! Crazy!

Well I hope everyone had a nice Christmas. Mine was great. We all went to my Dads Christmas Eve(even Mom, Scotty and kids) and then we all were at Mom and Scottys yesterday! We had a alot of fun and of course eat alot. I think I am still full! I wish we could all get together like that more often!

Well missed everyone and wish we all could be closer!

Tricia - not sure if anyone has talked about the reunion in the summers, that we talked about when we were in Buffalo but I am all about it! I think it is a great idea. What is everyone thinking about that?

Lauren - so glad you made it back to the blog! We all miss you too! I hope you get to Buffalo in January. I think it would be really good for you to be around the family!

Well that is it for now!
Miss you all and love you,
Amber

Wow...

Mark you snuck on here at work-nice!!
So I feel like I've been staring at this blog all day waiting for some nice long posts to pop up..haha no really, I actually did get a lot of work done today.
Well my favorite Christmas gift would have to be my new purse from Sarah or my new boots from Jeff (I picked them both out--works better that way)!!
I have to got to Jeff's Dad's after work for Christmas dinner-they are having it tonight because nobody could make it yesterday. That should be nice, as long as it doesn't last too long--I'm exhausted!!
Well, I hope everybody has a nice, relaxing night. And I hope I talk to more of you on here tomorrow!!
Oh yea, and I hope whatever tests you had today Tricia went well!

Love you all,
Susan

favorite present

i got a lot of nice things this year...including an awesome brown jacket from my dad's mom...but my favorite gift of all time would have to be uncle dave taking me to fantasy island for my birthday when i was like 12 or 13...it was super cool....

Uncle Dave is Cool in my book...

uncle dave should be alright on here....i don't think we should not include anyone...i think if our parents would liek to come on that we shouldn't have a problem with that either...it is helping us all grow alot stronger and learn alot more about each other...and i think that if our parents would like to join in we should let them. Its not like we are sharing things that shouldn't be shared with them, we're just talking to each other about our days...i think it would make our whole family an even tighter unit than it already is....but thats just my opinion...i also think that it is special that we have this just for ourselves....so i guess what i'm trying to say is, i am indifferent as to letting our parents and uncle dave join us....

Susan- i'm back for a minute...remember i have like 10 henchmen waiting in the back...lol....i'm glad you guys stopped out yesterday, i had a really good time....i enjoy that we aren't fighting anymore and are becoming friends....

Bernadette- I def remember your friend Krista...she used to be around when you were in high school right? and tell Mary i said hello....

Jenn- keep that tent up in the backyard in case i'm ever on the lamb and need shelter for a night....lol....j/k....it sounds like you'll have some pioneers in that tent this summer...just make sure they clean the animal before cooking it....lol....

well thats it for now....take care

I Love All Of You
Mark

Hello!!

Hey guys--just got back from lunch (I actually had to take a long 1hr 45min lunch because I drove one of my coworkers to pick up her car from the shop), but that's ok--can't really concentrate much today anyways!!
Thanks for updating me on your sister's whereabouts today Jenn--I was about to get angry at her for not keeping me busy!! haha just kidding Anyways, how's it going with the tent? Have you played in it yet??
Kristy hasn't made an apperance yet today has she? Maybe she's is recovering from the holiday rushes at the restaurant!!
Well, gotta go--just got a call assigning some more work to me!!
Susan

Y'all can stay in the Thomas tent!!!

Good Morning All!!
Hey Susan, Tricia is away today for a class. She may be on later, but I know she's traveling 2hrs. back & forth for the class so I'm not sure. It's for her exams coming up very soon.
I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday. We're just hanging out today. I like the day after Christmas since we really get to look at everything under the tree and start using it.
For the ? of the day: My favorite gift this year is one that Mia chose for Gianna. Mike took Mia shopping and she picked out a Thomas the Train (which Gianna loves!) tent. He was so proud of her picking this out, that he just bought it and assumed it was a tent like the one Mia has. Mia's is square- about 4ft. high, 4ft. long. When they asked to play with the Thomas tent, Mike brought it out and it's huge!! I mean huge!! It's 9 ft. long and 6ft. high. They can run around inside it! They put chairs, make-up tables, dolls, everything imaginable in the tent. We can't stop laughing at how huge it is. For the love of Pete, it's like a bus!
A favorite gift that was for me is an awesome camera that Mike bought me. It's a Canon and I can't wait to learn all the details on how to use it. I've been taking simple pictures with it and the clarity is fantastic! It's one that an actual professional would use, so it should take me months to figure out....j/k!!
So, Uncle Dave wants to join us on the blog? That's awesome! My vote is Yes- everyone chime in on that one, okay?
Well, Susan, I will check in later and try to help you get thru the day. Sorry I'm not as good as my sis in keeping you occupied at work. Hope the day goes quickly anyway :o)
Everyone have a great afternoon! Hugs and love all around! ~jenn

Tricia where are you??

Tricia I am waiting for you, not so patiently might I add!! haha

Hey!

I am happy Mark and Bern checked in (even if they won't make it back on today)!! At least it kept me busy for a few minutes, and now I can write again!! The office is so dead today--half the people took off (smart of them huh), and half of them who are here are leaving at lunchtime!! Well, I'm out of vacation time so I'm one of the lucky ones to be here all day!! So I need you Tricia to get on here and keep me busy, er I mean to be studying today!! Well, back to work so be back soon!!
Susan

Day after Christmas

Hi Susan. I am here! I have off but am about to leave for the chiropractor (finally...yay!) and then go meet my friend for lunch who is in town (Christa- anyone know her?) and then meet my friend Mary (I know some of you know her) later for coffee or something. Since I was sick it is the only day I can see some of my friends before they go back home. Later tonight we will exchange with Bob's parents, sister, and neice since we did not get to do that yesterday with all the people here and at night Connie had to bring the baby to the sperm donors, er, i mean baby's daddy's family for Christmas. So I have a busy day but may be able to check later.

Qu of the Day- how about favorite present? From Bob, my favorite is a peridot necklace (green gem for those of you who don't know, and Ambers favorite!)

Love you all!
Bernadette

sorry to disappoint you susan

lol....just checking in this morning to say hello to my loving cousins....it is great to see us all really keeping in touch....i just wanted to make sure everyone had a great christmas!

susan-sorry to let you down but i prolly won't be able to be on any more today...you may have to do your work....sorry kid....

if anyone is free tonight i will be bartending at Mazz's starting around 5:30...2-4-1 house wines all night....5 bucks for 2 glasses is a steal....if no one is free i will prolly be able to say hey tomorrow....take care

I Love All Of You
Mark

Goodmorning!

Goodmorning everyone!! Back to work...not fun...I'm not sure who is going to make it on today to keep me busy! I hope everyone had a great Christmas, and now I'll just sit and wait to see who pops on here next!!

Have Yourself a Merry (not so little) Christmas!

Merry Christmas Family! We're on the wind-down here and I am so tired. I do love Christmas, but putting together all these toys drives me crazy! The little twistie things are the worst (bah-humbug!), but today was really all about the kids and I loved it. They have every box opened and each tiny piece is out. Our house will take weeks to get back to normal. Oh well, gotta love it.
Well, before the day ended I wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas. I hope you all have a fantastic night. Love to you all, ~jennifer

Hello!!

Hey everyone--I guess I did make it on here today after all! I'm actually sitting at Mark's house, having a drink (thinking of being here with you, Lauren and Katy!!)
Bern--we missed you at Grandma's today (I know you were there earlier, but we didn't catch u!) I hope dinner at your house went well!
Lauren--I tried to call you earlier today on your cell (it rang a few times and then it hung up on me--is that how the cell phones work there?) I hope you had a good Christmas with your friends, and I can't wait for you to come home--what are the dates??
To the Floridians--Steph, Brandon, me and maybe Sarah (and whoever else wants to joins us) are coming to Florida the last week of May--it should be a good time!!!
To everyone--I miss you guys so much, and I can't wait to be together again soon!
Oh yea, I think Uncle Dave was jealous when we told him about the blog today, maybe we can allow an uncle on here??

Well, I hope everybody has a great night, and I will be on tomorrow (back to work, so that means back to being on here all day!!)
Love you all, Merry Christmas, Susan

Feliz Navidad!!!

Hi everyone and Merry Christmas! I miss you all so much today. It just doesn't feel like Christmas when your not with family. Christmas here is a bit different. They celebrate on the 24th. The party starts at midnight and then goes all night long. Everyone goes out to bars later at night, even the old people. Its pretty crazy. The 25th is more or less a day for recuperation haha. But we made a huge dinner last night with a few friends and that was real nice. Eating a ton was comforting, especially when you're used to the meals at Grandma's house on Christmas! Well I love you all and wish you all a very very Merry Christmas! I can't wait to see everyone and just the thought of being there makes me feel better. Feliz Navidad!
Love always and forever,
Lauren

Fa rah, rah, rah, rah,

Merry Christmas everyone! We had a great morning but its only 1:30 and I feel like it should be 8:00p.m. and we should be going to bed. Daniel woke up around 6 but we stayed in bed watching t.v. until about 6:45 when he remembered that it was Christmas. We opened gifts from Santa then headed to Jenn's to open presents with them and my parents and have breakfast. Then we came home and showered and, for Andrew, napped. Dave just left for work and it an hour or two the boys and I will head to my parent's for dinner.

Kristy--I loved your comments to Jenn yesterday, where you said that she isn't the favorite, the real favorite is you! So true! lol...

Bernadette--so cool that you stayed at your parent's house last night. I bet they loved it! And more fun for you too, since Bob was going to bed early. I hope he is feeling better today.

I will hopefully talk to all of you later today! Have a great day and enjoy each other's company!

Love you,
Tricia

You'll shoot your eye out!!!

I hope the marathon is still going because it is after 11pm and I still have not had time to watch it but want to see if its on still. I am at my parents now cuz I have been here all day/night (and yes, I finished my shopping finally and my mom was nice enough to go to the mall with me). It actually was not that bad. I decided to spend the night at my parents since Bob is still a bit under the weather and he was going to be early and I was going to come back here in the morning . So my mom is of course thrilled that I will be waking up here Christmas morning. Oh, my dad just found A Christmas Story! Yay! Its still on!!!

Well, I hope everyone has a very wonderful and blessed Christmas. I will miss just about everyone tomorrow since I will be going back home to have Bob's family over by 1pm. Lets do a cousins dinner again soon (for those in BLO or willing to travel for food)!

Love you all, and to all a good-no, make that a great- night!!

Bernadette

Merry Christmas!!

Hey everyone--just got back from my Buscia's-it was a good time, good food! I probably won't be on tomorrow so everyone have a great Christmas, and as Jenn said, I can't wait for the A Christmas Story marathon!!
Love you all, Susan

So much Love for Everyone here!!

Hi Everyone! I've only a few minutes since we are going to read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and ship the girls off to bed. We are cleaning up, getting ready for Santa's big night and sitting in front of the t.v. as soon as possible for A Christmas Story marathon!! Since a few of you mentioned the movie already, I'll be thinking of you all watching it with me. Today we spent the day with Mike's mom, brother and our nephews. We did dinner and presents. It was very fun. Well Cousins, have a great Christmas Eve! I love you all so much. I'm so glad we've come together on this blog. Enjoy the night!!! ~jennifer (glad to see Joe on here :o)

Love you all and miss you.

Kristy

Merry Christmas Eve

Hey everyone--Mark, Sarah, Joe, and I are just hanging out at Mark's before we go to our Buscia's house for our traditional Polish dinner (not as good as Lebanese food, but hey, we get pierogis)!! We just wanted to say Merry Christmas to everyone, and we love and miss you guys!!
Susan

Another one makes it to the blog!

YES! We've recruited another cousin! Joe--welcome to the blog! So glad you made it! Merry Christmas to you.

Tricia
PS--the previous post without a name was me...you probably knew that because I talked about Dave and Daniel but just in case you had too much egg nog and couldn't figure that out!

Merry Christmas

Hey everyone--it's Joe. Just wanted to say Merry Christmas to everybody!!
Miss ya and love ya!

Still working on Christmas...

Happy Christmas Eve! Can't wait until 8pm for The Christmas Story Marathon.

Well, I think we are all done shopping. We went out this morning and got the last few things we needed. Now on to wrapping. I'm about half done with that and the rest will have to wait until after Daniel goes to bed tonight. Hopefully I will still be awake! I'm making Christmas cookies today. I started with Oatmeal Raisin because they are Dave's favorite and he is leaving for work momentarily.

Bernadette--glad you guys are feeling better! Are you sure it wasn't food poisoning from your turkey cutlets and cranberry sauce??? ;-) Just kidding!!!!

Mark--Go you! 3 hours is pretty fast shopping, especially with all the crowds and traffic on December 23!

Susan--Did Jeff pick out all his gifts or did you get him a surprise or two?

Lauren--great to hear from you! I'm so glad to hear you are making a trip home. As soon as you know the dates, let us know so we can plan a trip there too.

Kristy--hopefully your trip to Buffalo will overlap with the time that Lauren is there too. Then we can visit with everyone!

Hmmm, can't remember what else I wanted to say. Guess I will talk to you all later!
Love you all and miss you!

HOLY CHRISTMAS

I ONLY HAVE LIKE 2 MINUTES AND I'M WISHING ALL OF YOU A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS...TAKE CARE AND GO BILLS!!

I LOVE ALL OF YOU
MARK

4 people left

Yes, sadly, BOb and I still have 4 people left (all on his side, mine is done) to shop for...and it is christmas eve. Thankfully, I feel almost back to normal and he is close to getting there, so it looks like we will make it to the mall or target or somewhere to finish up today!

Glad to hear everyone else (I think) has there shopping done!

Well, I just want to say good morning to everyone but I had better get going since I have cleaning, shopping, and cooking to get to.

Merry, merry christmas!!!

Bernadette

Sunday, December 23, 2007

Hey!!

Hi everyone!! Well, I am finally done shopping!!! Just finished tonight (well I still have to buy Jeff 1 more gift, but that can be late if it has to be)!!
I hope everyone is doing good!!
I talked to Lauren on the phone Friday (I know she recently made an apperance on here), and she didn't get her plane ticket yet but she found a cheap one that flies in January 21 (if that's the one her and her Dad choose). But I am so excited for her to come back!! I'm sure everyone else is as well!
Alright I have to go to bed now--that Bills game today really wiped me out!!
Well I hope everybody has a great Christmas Eve, and if I don't get back on soon, a wonderful Christmas!!
Love you!!
Susan

Happy Christmas Eve's Eve

Well i must say that i am the sh*t...i got all of my christmas shopping done in less than three hours....the M&T VISA check card is still smoldering in the wallet....If any of you have time to stop into my branch before the end of the year to open up a checking account i'd appreciate it....if i get 8 more people to open up checking account i will get a second paid day off...i already have 1 paid day off for the contest and am looking for a second...come on...hook a brother up....lol....j/k

Kristy-do you think you can find exactly how many people want to go to the sabres game in Tampa...tickets are going to start becoming more scarce and more expensive the longer we wait...if you can coordinate with the FL fam and get a number i'd appreciate it....i want to buy the tickets before wednesday or thursday this week....also can you see if heath is gonna make it down for this hockey game...we'd love to have him and it would be cool for him to be there....

bernadette-the football game was alot of fun....what wasn't fun was getting up at 8:15 after getting home from Mazz's at 2:30am...that was not as much fun.....but we ended up sitting in the boxes and eating some tastee italian sausage, beef on wick, chili, and pizza.....so that was pretty sweet....

Lauren-we sure missed you alot on the blog....if you can come back in january we'll def be drinking heavily...i go to florida the 28th of january-2nd of february so if you do come can you make sure i'm in town when you get here cuz i def want to be around when you are in town.....

well that is it for now...i need to go to bed and crash hard...its only 8:30, but 10 hrs is not gonna catch me up that far so it will prolly be tough to wake up.....good night

I Love All Of You
Mark

Update on the sick people

Hi Cousins!

I am feeling 80% better than I have been. Believe me, it was not pretty Friday night and Satruday mornng. Bob is doing a little better but still slept until 3pm and has now moved to the couch (which was me yesterday). Now that we have DVR he records daily episodes of Bonanza and watches those. I don't really like the show so I figured I would blog while he watches it.

Lauren- It was so great to hear from you on the blog. I think that would be great if you could make it home in January. Please let us know if you need anything.

Mark- sorry that no one blogged yesterday for what, 15 hours?! How was the game?

So as for the Christmas shopping... i have my dad going to the mall for me today (what a guy! He also drove the 30 minutes here yesterday to drop off medicine for me) to buy one last gift for Lauren (Josh's gf), and we have BOb's mom going grocery shopping for us (including getting some TOPS giftcards for presents) since we are having Christmas dinner at our house and are in charge of the ham, potatoes, corn, and beverages. Tricia- I think grocery stores everywhere are packed. Bob actaully attempted to go yesterday when he was feeling OK and left since the parking lot was full! We still have a couple little cousins to shop for on his side but I feel more confident we will get finished!

I just got off the phone with my dad and he said we are expecting another winter storm tonight and tomorrow? Ugh! He has to work in Wellsville tomrorow and I was hoping to drive in to go to church with my mom and go to see grandma and grandpa. I hope the weather cooperates. Of course, my mom says stay away if I am sick so she does not catch it but I think I will be good by tomorrow.

well, i need to eat something so i can take some vitamins. i hope all of you are not too stressed with Christmas less than two days away!!

I miss u all.

Buddy the Elf, What's your favorite color??

Good morning!
Lauren- so glad to hear from you! I think a trip to Buffalo would be a good idea for you. Let us know when you plan it and we can help with anything you need.
Bernadette- aww, I hope you guys feel better. It's awful being sick!
Mark- Whoa, two posts back to back! Have fun today! Go Bills!!
Kristy- Thanks for getting back so quickly yesterday with Vinny's cell number. I got to wish him a Happy Birthday. It was awesome hearing his voice!
Susan- Can you do a favor for me? Would you tell your mom that I'm sorry I didn't email her back, but I did get her email last week. I'm hoping to talk to her today or on Christmas since I will be calling B-lo. Also, hope the shopping is going well :o)
Aunt Tricia had the cutest little Christmas party for the kids yesterday. Not only was there hot chocolate, whip creme and marshmallows, but she talked to Santa who gave her a present for each of the kids! Mia declared it to be the best night ever!! She and Gianna got Barbie Island Princess books and things in this world just couldn't be better!! (they are obsessed with Barbie Island Princess, it's making Mike and I extremely ill.) We all had fun visiting.
Today, we're finishing the last of the wrapping (nothing like saving it until last minute!) and grabbing the few fresh items we need from the store for Christmas morning breakfast at our house. Tonight, I'm excited about meeting my 2 best friends for a drink. One is in town from Virginia Beach and the other just moved back here, but is a nurse and works all the time. I can't wait to hang with them.
Well, everyone have a good day. Kristy, get Amber back on this blog!! Oh, and if you could, email Vinny's address to me. I can't seem to find it in my book. Thanks :o)
Love you all! Take care cousins! ~jenn

Puke sick

Hello all. Sorry I was not on yesterday. I was very sick friday night and yesterday, and then last night Bob got sick. So we are both home sick instead of finishing our christmas and grocery shopping! Oh well. I feel a bit better today but not 100%, and he is still in bed so I am guessing he still is pretty sick because he never sleeps this long.

I will go back and read all of the entries I missed a little later...still don't have much energy.

Hope everyone is well and healthy!

Bernadette

Hi everyone!!!

Hey guys, I completely forgot about the blog and I just looked at it and now I feel really left out! (haha) I just want to say hello! to everyone and that I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas. Me and Alex are going to Salamanca (the city where we lived before) to spend Christmas with some friends there. But sadly it won't be anything like spending Christmas with you guys! I miss you sooooo much! Sorry I haven't written back to the people who have sent me emails these past two weeks. The truth is that I have been having a really hard couple of weeks and I am thinking about coming home for a little while in January. I think that the best thing right now is to be with family. Well sorry I've been so absent from the blog, and hope to talk to you all very soon! Love you all so much!
Lauren

Happy Saturday

Hello Family!!! How are we all doing? I hope that things are well....it is 3:21 and has been crazy busy here at the TBC!! i am fortunate enough to be able to work 2 jobs today i get out of here at 5 and then head to Mazz's for some cocktail making,.....Good Times....

Trisha- this chick is a friend...now...she is a bit older than me which is cool...ideally i'd like a younger woman, but if my personality and hers clicks age is nothing but a number....she made a delicious Tuna Steak with a green bean and potatoe pesto side...it was really good....i think she got the recipe off of a 30 minute meal magazine...it was delicious...
I'm 25 years old, but i def don't act like it...i figure i act around 20-21...which is a good thing cuz i look like i'm 15 if i shave off my facial hair....lol.....we need to embrace our youth for as long as we can cuz it will add longevity to our lives....so says the sociology major...lol....any studies on that bernadette? prolly not....but it would be cool if there was

Bernadette- that article you posted was really good...i keep it with me very often...it made me cry the first time i read it....i'm glad that you posted it because it def helped alot....i can't believe you were so calm with a dude's foot through your ceiling...i woulda put my foot up his @$$...lol....then i woulda said it doesn't feel good does it....lol.....j/k....i prolly wouldn't have done that, but i can picture someone doing it in my head for sure....lol....

jenn- i can't believe you put her underwear in the tree...did you do it first cuz it was cute, than cuz it was hilarious that she was climbing the tree to get it down? lol...thats soo funny....i can just picture her jumping in the tree and the whole thing coming down on her than her getting up with that sheepish grin and rubbing her head....lol....she's a cutie....you should get MIA to do remakes of the movies of the little girl with curly hair which for the life of me i can't remember her name....

holiday traditions- every christmas morning before we open gifts my mom always reads the night before christmas....she has it memorized at this point and its really cool and really special....i really enjoy it....and i think that we all to....

i've never given a mailman a christmas card, but nothing says lovin like something from the oven.....make him a nice meal and wrap it up or give him a gift card for a restaurant...everyone likes food...or a bottle of wine or something....

best boss-i'd have to say the last boss i had, Christina. her door was always open and she was soo easy to talk to. if i had any problems personal or professional her door was always open and she would drop what she was doing to try and help me out....if she ever had anything negative to say she would always start and end with positives to keep things positive you wouldn't feel that bad about what she had to say.....she could have told me i had cancer and i would have walked out with a smile on my face....she is probably the best boss i will ever have and it sux cuz she moved on to bigger and better things at the bank.....

well i gotta start wrapping it up over here and get ready to bartend....if any of you are free tonight stop in at Mazz's...if not take care....

I Love All Of You,
Mark

Hi Kristy!

Hi Kristy and hi to all,

I guess its slow here on the weekends? Is everyone out doing last minute Christmas shopping? I went for groceries early this morning and it was packed.

Question of the day--do you give a Christmas gift or tip to the mailman? If so, how much? We lived here 3 years now and have not done so but are thinking about giving him something this year. Its been the same guy for a couple years and he does a great job. He also gives Libby (our dog) treats when she's out and he comes by. We are trying to figure out what a nice, small gift could be. Maybe a gift card to Blockbuster or a restaurant? Or just some cash (I don't think are allowed to accept cash though...).

Ok, back to cleaning. Jenn and her family are coming down for a Christmas party. Dave is working but that's ok. We'll save him some cookies!

Tricia

Good Morning Blogers

Wow where is everyone today I guess I will have to talk to myself. Anyone talked to Lauren latley? If so how is she doing? If not who is coming with me to spain to find her and tell her to check in more often. lol. Well I have to work today so I am leaving the house soon. If anyone wants to talk I will be on and off today so write me a note. Love you all hope to talk to you soon.

I Can't Wait For This Night To Be Over

Hey Guys it is about 11 p.m. and my night is almost over thank god. I wish it was over now. I hope you all had a great night, and I will talk to you in the morning. Love You All

Kristy

Delish Dinner

Hello cousins. I got to leave early today. My boss (a cool one, not evil like Tricia's ex!) let me and the one other person in our dept leave at 3:30 and he stayed until 5. So, since I got home early and before Bob (usually he gets home before me) I made a really good dinner if I do say so myself. I made turkey cutlets with a spice rub and cranberry chili sauce on the side, mexican flavored veges (OK, that was a package) and sweet potatoes (another package, but the turkey was ALL ME :) ) Bob and I enjoyed it. Now we plan to watch a movie and go grocery shopping, but not in that order.

OK, my back hurts from sitting too much so I need to go walk around. Have a good night everyone!!

Love to you all, Bernadette

Sorry Guys I Missed A Lot Today

I am so sorry guys I did not get a chance to blog this morning I woke up late and had to rush for work. We had a Christmas party at the restaurant for this company that comes in every year for their holiday party. I have been taking this party with Stef for 10 years now, isn't that crazy. Well there is a lot to write about, but I don't have much time so here goes nothing.

Tricia I am so glad to hear your tests went well. I am also glad to hear about your evil boss (that was funny)

Susan That is awesome you and your sister bought that little old man breakfast, that is a very nice thing to do. I think that is great that you like your boss so much it is always good when you get along with your boss so well.

Bernadette Thanks for realizing that I was at work, and thanks for not stalking me I appreciate that :) Good luck with your bedroom ceiling..

Jennifer Poor Mia she is so cute the undies thing was funny though.

Mark GO BILLS!!!!

Josh Where have you gone?

Alright I think I have touched on everything a little bit after work I will come back. Until then I will miss you all, Love you much

Kristy

very jealous...

Tricia, I am very jealous of your pierogis!! I hope you have a great dinner!!
Your old boss does sound evil---I am glad you don't work for him anymore!!

Well guys, I am out of here..gotta get to Grandma's and then to watch the Sabres game!! I hope everyone has a great night.

Love you!!
Susan

Cool bosses...

I have had a few supervisors who were awesome but I also had the boss from hell. One day he was nice and the next he was pure evil...not just to me but to everyone. His wife also worked with us and was very nice. He ended up cheating on her with a client who he married. He represented the client for divorce and together they managed to get her her ex-husband's entire pension. He was a retired police officer...doesn't that suck. And they literally laughed about all the way to the bank. I guess karma works though because he ended up in so much debt trying to keep up with this woman that he had to move to a tiny office and employ only one person. I haven't heard lately what became of him.

I making a gourmet dinner tonight. It consists of dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets served with gourmet ketchup. Also, pierogies with onions and a side of sour cream. You are all SO jealous, right? It's one meal that Daniel will eat!

Tricia

Started...

I started to wrap my gifts, but only the ones that I had bought last week---4 people's! So i just bought more yesterday when I went with my Mom, and I need to go today or tomorrow so Ihave a lot more left! I bought Grandma the cutest sweater though---it has cardinals on it (her favorite)!!!

40 more minutes until I am out of here---I am glad that my friend works here with me because she is one of the people I went to get drinks with (oh and a veggie burger!) and she sits by me--so we are slacking together--we actually have the radio blasting up here!! Good thing my bosses are laid back (well 2 are not here--the one still is but he is cool)! Actually my boss Dave who is still here, when I first started working here, I was afraid to talk to him. I told him that he intimidated me when I first started here after I had gotten comfortable with him, and he said (and I quote), "You must've just been misreading my hangovers"! haha Isn't that great?!

Anybody else have cool bosses??

Susan

PS...

That last one was from me, Tricia....

And I didn't answer the QOTD. I don't think I have any traditions. Dave and I make fish every New Year's Eve but he is working this year so we won't do that. Every year we buy a new car for our train with the year on it. We started it in 2004, the year Daniel was born. It started out as his train but now I think its more Dave's.

Tricia

Wrapping?

Has anyone wrapped their gifts yet? I haven't done that yet. Need to get moving on it but I keep waiting until Daniel goes to sleep at night and by then I am usually too tired.

Mark--when do you plan to shop? Or are you just going to run to CVS and buy gift cards for everyone? And who's this chick making you dinner? How old are you? Devon is 31...but I am sure should would love to move away, she hates it here!

Yup...

Grandma did get that snowman thing Tricia--it is really cute!!!

I guess Grace won't be moving until like the end of January--she needs to train the new person for her job.

Ok, somebody write back soon because I need entertainment!!

Susan

On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love gave to me

Twelve shots for drinking! Susan, you are too funny. No, you should not do anyone's taxes right now. I would leave. And tell Jeff that he can't pick out all his gifts because he needs at least one surprise.
What did you have to eat for lunch? Or did you only drink your lunch today?
By the way, do you know if Grandma also got the snowman thingy my mom sent her? It has all the sibling's names on it. Its cute.

Bernadette--I hurt my back a few months ago and it took forever to get better. I ended up going to a chiro and it helped after a couple of weeks. She wanted me to keep going once a month but I am always a little sore after going and since I feel fine, I'd rather not go. Plus I have to pay for each visit so I figure I will go back if my back acts up again.
What do you think you and Bob will make for dinner tonight? What's wrong with Uncle David? Any word on when Grace will be moving up to Buffalo?

Tricia

I'm back!!

Hey guys!! Well that was a nice 3 hour lunch--we ordered 3 drinks but with double shots in them!! haha we were trying to think of an excuse to not come back (the fact that our bosses are already gone is good enough for me!!)

Bern I hope your back feels better---hopefully the chiro will fix it!!

Tricia--that is so cute about you writing everything down in Dave's shopping cart! Unfortunately for me, Jeff likes to pick out all his gifts so I don't get to surprise him!

Wow, I really don't think I should be preparing anyone's tax returns right now. I feel ok, but I'm sure I'm not!!

Susan

Sneaky Tricia and Cousins MIA

You ARE sneaky and I just love it! That fish tank light sounds really neat.

Is today Friday? I am guessing both Kristy and Amber are at work, Kristy working a double at Capognas and Amber at the Salon (I am not a stalker but I did get to know there schedules pretty well while living in Tampa). I should have thought of that before asking where they were, huh?! Hopefully both will be on later (hint hint ladies).

My back is friggin hurting me! I can't wait for the chiro visit next week. I guess Bob will have to give me a daily massage in the meantime.

Susan, where are youuuuuu? I am jealous. I had a nifty sangria drink at Applebee's last night. It did not taste alcholic but allegedly (lawyer word Trish!) was. Oh, and Susan, I could use some help with these numbers I am running for a mid year report for the Counseling Center. So boring!

Bernadette
I got him a bunch of stuff for his fish tank (which is his hobby). The light for the tank burnt out a long time ago and he never replaced it because other expenses would turn up. Its really cool because during the day its just a light but at night, there is a dim light that shines down and it acts like moonlight on the water. Its pretty neat. I also got him a few other things that I really don't know what they are. What I did was went to the website where he buys the stuff and played around until I figured out his sign in information. Then I went into his shopping cart and wrote down what was in it. I then created my own account on the website and ordered everything from his basket but under my name. This way, if he signs into the site, his shopping cart will the same. Pretty sneaky, huh?

Where are Amber and Kristy today? I know Susan is out getting drunk....

Darnit all

I thought that might happen. Since you can't really read what I wrote just put your mouse over the text and "highlight" it so that it changes the color so you can read it.

I will stick to bright colors from now on!!

Bernadette

Trying to Forget

I don't remember the perkins twinberry syrup incident but I do remember the mirror thing and am still trying to forget :) Ah, us crazy kids...

That is funny about the Fed Ex truck coming early. What did you get him? (He doesn't come on the blog, does he?) Do you know what he got you?

Susan- are you back from lunch yet?

Bernadette :)

Ghosts in the mirror and Christmas presents...

Bernadette--I had a waffle with strawberry topping on it and it was great! Then we got pumpkin muffins to bring home. They have a cream cheese topping on it and are basically a pumpkin roll in the shape of a muffin. They are fantastic! Which reminds me, do you remember the time when we were very young and your mom took us to Perkins for breakfast? At that time, we didn't have a Perkins here and I was so excited. I had twinberry syrup for the first time. Also, you and I went into the bathroom and were trying to get a ghost to come out of the mirror by chanting "mary" (or is it bloody mary?). Do you remember that? I think we got scared before we said it the third time and ran out of the bathroom.

Christmas presents--every year Dave and I say we are not buying gifts for each other. Then, as Christmas gets closer, we start saying we'll buy small, around $20 and then it builds up from there. So, this Christmas was no different except I didn't get Dave anything. Then the other day I remembered something he wanted and ordered it for him. It was coming today by FedEx which doesn't come until around 3 which is after Dave is gone to work. So in the car, on the way home from Perkins, I made a big deal about how we weren't supposed to buy each other anything and that I don't have a gift for him (I know he got me something, by the way) and that I am going to feel so bad that he won't have a gift to open on Christmas. He kept saying that it was fine and that he didn't need anything, blah, blah, blah, and I know he believed me. So, we got home and we are just hanging out with the kids and I look up and see the FedEx truck outside. I said "Oh shit" and I start yelling at him to get downstairs in the basement. He of course saw the truck and now he knows that I did actually get him something. He didn't see the box so I don't think he knows what. I didn't want him to see the box because he can just look at a box and he knows what it is. He is gifted in that way. Hopefully he will still be surprised!

Tricia

Lunch buzz

LOL susan. All of your numbers may blur together when you get back from lunch! Drive safely and have fun! I think it was you who asked what everyone's plans were for the evening? Well, Bob and I were going to meet up with Uncle David for dinner since he was going to be in Lockport but he is sick so I think Bob and I will cook together after we grocery shop and then watch a movie ( I feel like an old married couple already) Lol... How about everyone else?

I walked on my lunch break. It was actually nice outside, I thought, with the sun shining. Now I am eating lunch...again... I am pretty predictable, huh?

Where are Amber and Kristy today (or maybe Kristy posted? I can't remember).

Tricia- I am so glad the doc's found nothing seriously wrong with you and that you will able to enjoy Perkins (yum) with Dave! What did you get?

Jenn- I had to laugh at the underwear thing. I can just picture little Mia trying to get her underwear off the Christmas tree.

Josh- you made what, one entry, and then you disappear? I know I just talked to you on the phone but I think you need to post at least a daily blog.

Mark- good luck with your marathon work day tomorrow and have a nice break at the Bills' game Sunday!

I think I will do a little work before checking back to see if anyone has written.

Toodles, Bernadette

So much for a productive day...

ok, so I was super productive this morning. However, me and two of my co-workers are going to go to lunch now and get some drinks (we want to get a nice buzz going)!! So this afternoon at work will be very fun, but not very productive!! I am excited though-we are leaving now. Hopefully somebody posts before I get back so I have something to read!

Susan

Top of the Morning

I'm not really sure what that phrase means but I thought I would use it.

So I hurt my back exercising Monday (can't remember if I talked about this yet) and it still hurts pretty bad so I finally made an appt with the chiro for the day after Christmas. I don't think I have ever looked forward to a doctor's appoitment as much as this!

Tricia- how did your tests go? I hope they were able to determine what is going on.

Susan- that was nice of you and Sarah to pay for that man's breakfast.

The guy that stepped through our ceiling apologized to me this morning as I was leaving for work. I think he thought I might be mad but I just smiled and told him "things happen." What else can you do, right? They will fix it today hopefully.

I had more to comment on but can't remember so I will post this and go back and read Mark and Jenn's blog to see what I wanted to say... lol...

Bernadette

Susan and Sarah are awesome!

Susan--that is the sweetest thing ever! I bet you made his day. I always get so sad when I see a person by themselves. You never if they do not have anyone to be with or if maybe they just wanted to get some time alone. So cool that you guys did that. Pay it forward!

Bernadette--how was Applebees?

Jenn--Poor Mia being tortured with her undies on the tree! Poor kid! That's as bad as Ralphie having to come downstairs in that pink bunny suit!!!

My test--it went very well. They didn't find anything wrong which is good because that eliminated anything major. The doctor took some tissue to do a biopsy to see if anything can be seen from under a microscope. If there is, it can all be treated with medicine so that is good news. I have to have another test on January 3 but that one I only have to fast in the morning. I can eat as much as I want the day before. And the best news is that my mom didn't have to be at work until noon so Dave took me to Perkins and we got to eat just the two of us! That almost never happens. We always have the kids, or at least, Daniel with us. We leave Andrew home along a lot...just kidding...we leave him with my parents sometimes but usually they are both with us.

Hope everyone is having a good morning!

Hi!!

Goodmorning everyone!!! Tricia how was your test?? I hope you are stuffing your face now!! (I would be!!)
Sarah and I went for breakfast this morning (we do every Friday because we really don't see eachother during the week), and this little old man was sitting at a booth in front of us by himself--so we payed for his breakfast and left--we felt so good about that!! So now we are going to pick someone to buy breakfast for every Friday, just to make someone's day!
What are everyone's plans for tonight??
Alright, I'll wait and see who comes on next..I'm glad Jennifer started us off with a long one!!
--Susan

Happy Friday!!

Good Morning Cousins,
Hey, am I first on today? That's cool!
Tricia- I've been thinking about you all morning. Hope the test went well and you're totally stuffed from eating a huge breakfast. Call me later.
Bernadette- sorry to hear that someone's foot went thru your roof. Look on the bright side, now Santa has easy access!! Tell Bob Happy Belated Birthday from the slow one :o)
Susan- You crack me up when you ask for the bloggers to keep you entertained while you're at work. And, I love that you're visiting Grandma's & Grandpa's everyday! I can't wait to visit.
Mark- Your posts keep me laughing! I don't know how you keep your head on straight running all those jobs! Oh, for the record, when Tricia mentioned her friend Devon, I thought of you! I've met her a few times and she's very nice. Maybe a trip to Scranton could be plans in the making?!??
Kristy- I watched The Santa Clause last night and thought of you. Good job finishing all your shopping. And, don't worry, everyone knows the love is all equal amongst us here. We all know that I can't be your bestest, favorite, funnest, sweetest, kindest, most wonderful, #1 cousin in the whole wide world!! C'mon, that just wouldn't be fair!! (I'm totally kidding everyone! Okay, this joke has to end right about now.)
So, can I post the Question of the Day? Do you and your family or friends have a holiday tradition or ritual each year? We have a few that are pretty funny. I always hang this certain puppy ornament Mike bought me smack dab in the middle of the tree and surround it by other puppy ornaments. I hold it up to my nose then move my arm across to hang it on the tree so it's eye level for me. Then I put the other puppies around it and tell him that's so none of them will be lonely. I make sure he sees all this and gets annoyed because I put them really close together. He always changes it when I'm not watching. Another thing I do started 2 years ago. I take a pair of Mia's little underwear and hang them on the tree to tease her. She giggles and tries to take them off, but when she's not looking I put them back. That goes on the first 2 days to tree is up. So silly, but fun! I'm sure we have real, traditional rituals, but the funny ones come to mind.
Yesterday we took the girls to see Santa. It was fun and they got to sit with him a long time. But, before we left, they were both arguing and driving poor Mike nuts. He was trying to get their shoes on while I was in my room. When Mia would say something that she wants from Santa, Gianna would say the same thing. Mia said Barbie, Gianna said Barbie. Mia could've said she wanted a gorilla and Gianna would've repeated because she's 2 yrs. old. Anyway, they start fighting and yelling and as I hear things getting louder Mike shouts "I bet we're going to have a FANTASTIC visit with Santa!" And, from my room I added, "Hallelujah. Holy Sh!t." Now how's that for a Christmas Vacation fan?!? Of course, the girls couldn't hear me. The words just fit the joyous occasion so well.
Okay everyone...not sure when I'll be on again, but have a great day. I'll be reading thru-out!!
Love, ~jenn

Good Night Everyone

Well I had to work for a while tonight that is why I have been missing. Hope no one took offense to the Jennifer thing about her being the best, you all are the best I mean it!! (Jenn don't let that fool you, you are the favorite.) hehehe. Just joking anyway, I am very tired I had a long day so I am going to go to sleep now.

Tricia Hope everything goes well tomorrow, Good Luck, I will be thinking about you.

Good Night All, Love you much.

Kristy

Tomorrow is the first night i have off since sunday!!

yea i know that its thursday, but hey...ya gotta do what ya gotta do right....all i gotta say is thank god i don't have to work tomorrow night...i was figuring out my hours this week and discovered that from monday at 5pm until friday at 7pm i will have worked 61 hours...man i'm starting to feel it...at least i have friday night off right....saturday is looking like another hell day working at the call center from 11-5 and then mazz's from there until about 2am...so i'm looking at about 76 hours...it woulda been over 80 had i worked monday and not got snowed into cleveland...all i'm saying is i'm sorry i'm not blogging more...but considering all that i'm on a decent amount and i'm hitting up susan with notes that she's posting for me...thank you susan

people are crazy that call in...i'll try and blog all of the funniest ones that i encounter...

so the answer to the sleep question is not nearly enough...my bed does miss me, it was actually pretty cute it called me at work today just see see how i was...i couldn't believe it...a talking bed...ya now...its pretty sick....but you know money can buy anything...my house is like pee-wees playhouse...ya just gotta make sure not to say the secret word and everything will be pretty calm....lol

i went into work this morning thinking i could do christmas shopping at like 5:30 but a gut-feeling told me that i should check my TBC schedule(overtime job for the forgetful) and i had to work...i was like....SH*T! so no xmas shopping tonight and i have a nice young lady cooking me dinner tomorrow night so no xmas shopping then either...nothing serious, we've only been out a couple times....speaking of nice young ladies, whats the deal with this devon girl i hear about...she into relocating for a good guy? lol...prolly not....but i am worth the drive...i'm a hell of a cook....no big deal...just something i picked up along the way....

Favorite Chstmas Movies...i'd have to say either Rudolf or Ernest Saves Christmas...he's such a lovable loser how can we not like him....he's just like me....lol....j/k...but not really....

i have a few favorite christmas memories....my most memorable would probably be the one that we all made each other mad and cry...it was crazy i don't know what or why it all started but the whole family was sobbing next to the christmas tree yelling and fighting and running to their rooms...it was insane...but hey....we are all a bit crazy....

another fun memory is when we were at my Buscia's(dads mom) and it was christmas eve and we left and it took us like 45 minutes to get home cuz of the snow...it should only take 15....we went home went to bed woke up, shoveled the hell out of our driveway before opening up gifts...we were like 1/2 way done opening up gifts and my Buscia calls....someone has to come shovel the driveway right away...i'm like, it 8 am where the hell is she going....no where...she doesn't drive and neither does my dziadzia(dads dad)...they only leave the house like one time a week maybe....but we went and it took us like an hour or two to clear the driveway...it was pretty ridiculous....they live in a spot where the driveway is surrounded by house so you have to scoop the snow and walk it to a spot to dump it....its petty ridiculous....but it had to get done right away.....i mean what would the neighbors think right...if the snow wasn't cleared by the time they woke up....lol...but i had fun cuz it was something we all did together..including my aunt mary ann and 2 cousins..

i don't make signs for the bills games anymore cuz i don't have the time or the energy....just look for the dude with the big head wearing the old school jim kelly miami jersey and bills hardhat and you'll find me....i'm prolly gonna have someone drop me off at the stadium after i get out of Mazz's cuz the rv will be up there....well i think its time for me to go...i want to sleep for a bit before the 6:30 am buzzer wakes me up....take care

I Love All Of You
